About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychotherapist with over 15 years of post-qualification experience, holding a Master’s degree in Integrative Psychotherapy. My professional journey has taken me through diverse clinical settings—from long-standing work within the NHS to many years in private practice—offering me a deep and nuanced understanding of mental health, relational dynamics, and the complexity of human experience.

Approach and Philosophy

At the heart of my work is a trauma-informed, relational approach. I believe that symptoms such as anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or dissociation often arise from early life experiences, relational ruptures, or environments where it hasn’t been safe to feel or express emotion. My role is to support clients in exploring these experiences at their own pace, creating a therapeutic space grounded in safety, empathy, and respect.

Areas of Specialism

Over the years, I have developed particular expertise in supporting people with:

Trauma and complex PTSD – including childhood neglect or abuse, developmental trauma, and traumatic grief

Depression and anxiety – particularly where these are rooted in early relational experiences

Neurodiversity – including working with autistic and ADHD clients, especially those navigating late diagnosis or masking

Relational difficulties – including challenges with boundaries, trust, or emotional regulation

Identity and self-worth – supporting clients in building a stronger, more compassionate relationship with themselves

Experience and Professional Background

My practice is informed by ongoing professional development and supervision.
My intention is to offer a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic space. I understand how daunting it can feel to start therapy, especially if trust or safety has been difficult in the past.
