About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to a space where your story matters.
I am an integrative psychotherapist with many years' experience of successfully helping my clients resolve a wide range of issues. These include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, loss and life-changing events.
Thinking about starting therapy can feel overwhelming and confusing. I understand how hard it can be to know where to begin. I encourage you to reach out for an initial conversation, free of charge and without any obligation, to see how I can help you and what therapy with me might be like. Many clients discover that this first step opens the door to meaningful change and a more fulfilling life.
I offer a safe, collaborative, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported to make choices that align with your values and aspirations
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic styles depending on what fits you best. I’m especially guided by attachment theory, so I pay close attention to how relationships - past and present - shape how we feel, how we cope and how we connect.
My practice is also informed by existential therapy, which invites us to explore the big themes: identity, freedom, meaning, and uncertainty. This approach can be especially helpful for people who feel:
- Lost, stuck or disconnected from their sense of purpose
- Overwhelmed by major life transitions or identity shifts
- Burdened by existential anxiety, grief or questions about mortality
- Alienated or misunderstood in their relationships or communities.
Through a collaborative exploration of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, I will assist you to identify and change negative responses, which may have kept you stuck in patterns that are no longer serving you.
My Qualifications - from Regents University, London
- MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, accredited by the UKCP
- Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling
My first session
Research consistently shows that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in how effective therapy can be. While therapeutic models offer valuable tools, it’s the trust, empathy and collaboration that develop between us that truly support healing and change.
This is why I offer our first meeting free of charge - to give you a chance to share what’s going on for you, get a feel for how I work and decide if you would like to continue. If either of us decides at your first meeting that it would be more beneficial for you to work with another therapist, I will be happy to help you with onward recommendations and referrals.
Therapy sessions last for a standard 50 minutes, at the same time each week as far as possible.
