About me and my therapy practice
I am happy to support you with any concerns, on a short-term basis, or with deeper issues that take us on a longer journey.
I offer you a genuine, authentic, warm and trusting environment in which to help you explore and develop enough support and insight to make the choices that are right for you as an individual.
I am keen to understand how you're impacted by your experiences and I will usually share my own response to what you bring in order to help you begin to raise your own awareness and open up new choices that before may have felt elusive.
Even if you feel unsure or that perhaps this isn't something that I should take to therapy, we can explore that too. Often we doubt ourselves or don't recognise how much we might be needing extra support at this time.
Practice description
Is your anxiety getting in the way of your satisfaction of life? do you feel low, unmotivated or perhaps overwhelmed and as though you are spinning too many plates all at once, then I'd like to help!
Low mood and high anxiety can really affect our experience of life, work and relationships. Suddenly everything feels more difficult than it did before.
There are so many challenges in modern life, from social media to work related stress, financial worries, loss and bereavement. Pace of life. Relationship worries, sexual concerns, identity. Not feeling listened to, anger and frustration and feeling no one is understanding you or checking in with you, too little support in your world perhaps. I welcome all people from all backgrounds and communities. I also work with neuro-divergent clients and those from the LGBT+ and kink community
Trust your experience, if something doesn't feel right then it may be time to reflect and explore this with me.
I offer a space in your week where we can have an open, non-judgmental encounter, where confidentiality and impartiality are paramount.
My name is Paul James Wheatley and I have over 20 years of experience working with adults.
