About me and my therapy practice
I’m a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and Mental Health Aider, accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health. I also hold a Diploma in Neuropsychology and Child Counselling (Centre of Excellence), which supports my work with clients affected by psychological and physical trauma to the brain.
I’ve been in practice for 28 years, working with clients from all backgrounds and experiences. My areas of work include:
• Sexual abuse and rape
• Trauma
• Domestic abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, mental)
• Eating disorders
• Cultural identity issues
• Drug and alcohol use
• Depression and anxiety
• Social and health-related anxiety
• Stress
• OCD
• PTSD and Complex PTSD
• Bereavement
• Relationship problems
• Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
I also draw on CBT techniques where helpful, particularly for structured problem-solving, and will tailor sessions to your needs.
Sessions take place in a peaceful, quiet setting designed to help you feel safe and comfortable. This gives you space to reflect, speak freely, and feel safe. You’ll be listened to and supported. I aim to create a space where you feel heard and understood. We’ll go at your pace. No pressure, no judgement—just support and guidance to help you work towards your goals and self-realisation.
I offer face-to-face sessions, telephone counselling, and WhatsApp video, depending on what feels right for you.
Practice description
Weekly sessions are £60 for 18 years and over.
Under 18’s £65.
My first session
In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s brought you to counselling and begin to explore what’s underneath how you’re feeling. Using an analytical, psychodynamic approach, we can look at early relationships, patterns in your past, and how these may be affecting you now—often in ways that aren’t immediately obvious.
This may include exploring unconscious or subconscious thoughts, recurring dreams, or emotional responses that feel difficult to explain. If you’re dealing with trauma or complex trauma, this approach can help you start to understand the deeper roots of your experience.
Together, we’ll set goals that feel meaningful to you. I’ll tailor the sessions to support those goals, and where useful, I may incorporate CBT techniques to help you manage specific issues in a more structured way—always at your pace.
The aim is for you to feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected with yourself while understanding your emotions, shift long-standing patterns, and feel more confident moving forward.
If you’d like to have a 15 minute conversation before deciding, feel free to get in touch. I’m happy to talk through how I work and how we might approach what you’re going through. The space is warm, private, and focused entirely on helping you feel safe enough to start healing.
