About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming when past experiences continue to shape how you think, feel, and respond. You may be living with anxiety, low mood, self-doubt or a sense of feeling stuck.
As an EMDR Therapist, I understand the deep and lasting impact that trauma and adversity can have on both the mind and body. Left unprocessed, these experiences can shape how you see yourself, others, and the world - often through a lens of fear, shame, or self-protection.
I offer a supportive space where we can untangle these patterns, so you no longer view life through a trauma lens. I will help you reclaim your strength, clarity, and sense of direction.
Alongside my private practice, I work within the NHS, supporting people with complex mental health needs. I draw on a range of therapeutic models including EMDR, and together, we will choose what best fits your needs and goals.
Whether you are working through trauma, navigating interpersonal challenges, or seeking a greater sense of emotional wellbeing, I offer a safe, collaborative and supportive space to explore meaningful change. My approach is focussed on fostering long-term healing - helping you feel safer in your body, clearer in your thinking, and more connected in your life.
Practice description
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist with 20 years of experience and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ). I am also a fully qualified member of the EMDR Association.
I am registered with the Íø±¬ÃÅ Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists, which recognises practitioners who meet professional standards of competence and ethics. The Register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health & Social Care, an independent body accountable to Parliament.
Alongside my own private practice, I work within the NHS in a specialist psychology team.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I am qualified to assess and diagnose autism, which is also part of my role within the NHS. I have significant experience in this area and take a neuro-affirming approach to working with autistic clients, both in assessment and ongoing therapeutic support.
My first session
Your initial session may last up to 90 minutes.
This extended time allows for a comprehensive assessment, including a full exploration of your personal history, current challenges, and any previous diagnoses, professional support or prescribed medications.
