About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Distinct-Minds

Distinct-Minds is an online therapeutic space created especially for neurodivergent adults and couples.

As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate a world that is designed for neurotypical minds, and how easy it is to feel overwhelmed, misunderstood or unseen. Beyond this, I also recognize how relational, situational, biological, systemic, and structural factors, can contribute to confusion, burnout, trauma, and the experience of being 鈥渙thered.鈥 And how such experiences can impact identity, relationships, self-esteem, well-being and functioning.

I offer a therapeutic approach that is affirming, evidence-informed, and tailored to the lived experiences of neurodivergent adults and couples. My core aim is to help you move beyond whatever is holding you back, and to support you to find the calm, clarity, and connection you seek, so that you can flourish.

In my practice, I combine humanistic values with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, parts work, and somatic techniques. Together, we will work on your goals and regularly check our progress to ensure that you feel heard, supported, and empowered.

If you are seeking a therapist who will respect your experiences, has an understanding of the complexities of neurodivergent life, and who walk alongside you with care and compassion, I warmly invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute conversation.

Collaborative, empowering, co-designed, and regularly reviewed for effectiveness and fit.

My first session

What to Expect

Your first session offers us a starting point to get to know each other. We will talk about and explore the challenges that have brought you to therapy, your goals and aims, and focus on your strengths, interests, sensory preferences, and preferred ways of communicating. So that we can create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported.

Individual Therapy

In our work together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, and environments that have been impacting your well-being, distress, and functioning. If you have been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, burnt out, or disconnected, we can take time to gently unpack what鈥檚 happening for you. Equally, we can focus on what is working well for you, and explore ways in which you can build on these experiences to create more balance, calm and connection.

Couples Therapy

I offer a supportive therapeutic relationship where both partners can feel heard, validated, and respected. Whether you are in a neurodivergent鈥搉eurotypical partnership, or a relationship where both partners are neurodivergent. I understand how unique challenges can arise from communication preferences, sensory needs, and daily rhythms.

Sessions are most frequently held together as a couple but can also allow for each individual partner separately if and when required. From a foundation of trust, curiosity, and respect, we can jointly nurture a therapeutic space that provides clarity, empathy, understanding, and practical steps to help you move beyond your current challenges.

Practicalities in session

You are welcome to bring items of comfort, move in ways that support you, or adjust your space to suit your individual needs, so that you feel safe, comfortable, and able to achieve the most from your therapeutic process.

Practice description

I provide supportive, restorative, and collaborative supervision, that is co-designed to meet you wherever you are in your professional journey.

My approach is grounded in the 网爆门 Ethical Framework and tailored to your developmental needs, therapeutic style, and preferred way of online working.

Each session or group is focused on your identified needs for that day and will be guided by what you would most like to gain from the session.

As my practice is online, I will also bracket and offer my awareness of any potential misunderstandings, transference, counter-transference, projection, or fantasy. So that we can work constructively with these experiences (if they arise), and view them as valuable opportunities for reflection, development and growth.

To ensure safety, containment and positive outcomes, I will prioritise:

Clear and transparent contracting processes.

Clear understanding of our mutual responsibilities.

Agree a 鈥渘etiquette鈥 for working online together.

Ensure that regular reviews of our practice and supervisory relationship are carried out.

Due care and attention to all moral, ethical and legal considerations.

My first session

Following our initial 15-minute conversation, if you would like to move forward with contracting, I will send you a copy of my contract, which gives you the opportunity to review my terms and conditions, and then to bring any questions to our first session.

I will also send you a short supervisee intake form (via MS Forms), which takes some essential information and provides a further opportunity for you to expand upon your supervisory needs and priorities before we begin.

In the first session, we will clarify contracting, housekeeping, and online practicalities, so that everything feels clear, safe, and supportive. So that we can nurture a collaborative supervisory relationship that is based on trust, respect, and curiosity.

In group supervision, we will take the time to create a safe and inclusive environment, where everyone's voice is heard, respected, and valued.

My fees:

拢80 per 50 minutes for one-to-one supervision

拢90 per 50 minutes for group supervision
