About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor and supervisor. I have experience of working with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationships and low self-esteem. I work with both adults, children and young people, and specialise in work with adolescents.
Parents looking for a therapist to work with their child or adolescent should email to discuss how work might be approached, and all aspects of confidentiality, risk assessment and safeguarding.
After an initial assessment we would plan future sessions based on need. Sessions might involve talk therapy, creative therapy, mindfulness based strategies or whatever is needed to improve your well-being.
Practice description
If you are interested in working with me I will send you a copy of my contract/working agreement which explains how I work and the boundaries for safe therapy, including confidentiality, online practices and safeguarding.
Then we will arrange an initial session where I can assess your needs and we can see if we feel comfortable working together.
After the initial session we can look at a plan of how you want future sessions to go.

I work in an ethical relational way to support you and your client work.
I am an experienced CYP counsellor and have provided training workshops for counsellors who wish to work with children.
I will endeavour to encourage your development and effectiveness as a counsellor while ensuring that you maintain safe, professional and ethical standards of practice.
The needs of your clients will be the main focus of our work, but also there will be time for you to look at your own needs, as I believe that your well-being is vital to ensure good working practice. About me and my therapy practice
I have specialised in providing workshops on working with children and young people since 2018.
I provide workshops on working with suicidal clients, and have been the presenter for the Íø±¬ÃÅ PDD on working with risk since 2020.
Practice description
CYP training will involve looking at all aspects of ethical relational working, whether in private practice, an organisation or education setting.
Risk workshops involve looking at our own frame of reference and understanding of risk, and how to ask the right questions in the right way when working with suicidal clients. I also focus on when and how to break confidentiality and looking at safety plans, as well as welf-care of the practitioner.
