About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist with 20 years experience working across various settings and issues.

I like to create a nice safe secure private space for you to relax and explore your thoughts and feelings.

The setting is a non judgemental space where there are no judgements from me the therapist. I am there to help guide you through your difficult time and journey.

I work in various ways to meet the needs of the clients from a person centred approach to using practical methods for exploration.

I love to work in a TA way which  is great for behaviours and relationship issues whether that be if your struggling personally or professionally.

I specialise in Abuse and controlling relationships and work with clients to empower them to take back their control.

I work with Shohet and Hawkins 7 eyed model of supervision looking at all the processes.

I enjoy working with Qualified Counsellors along with Trainees equally.

I love to work with trainee counsellors as I am able to use all my range of skills as an experienced Counsellor/Lecturer/EQA.

I pride myself on developing others to reach their full potential

I work in a open transparent honest way without you fearing judgement for any mistakes as we have all been trainees once.

My aim is to help you grow both personally and professionally.

Practice description

I like to ensure all my supervisees feel at ease and not judged. This helps our supervision process to learn and develop further in a relaxed environment.

I also know I am the gate keeper for safe practice to keep both client and counsellor safe from harm. But i am able to do this in a respectful way.

I work in a way that helps you to explore your own process along with the clients and when we feel uncomfortable that's when we grow, learn and develop the most.

I am completely real and gently like to challenge you to get teh best from you.

My first session

With Supervision in the first session I like to look at what your knowledge thoughts and feelings are with regards to Suicide. To look at the experience you may have had so far.

If you haven't this is always a good starting point as you never know when it will come up in your sessions and has helped so many supervisees by pre emptying this.

I have a wealth of knowledge to offer as I set up and implemented the Mental Health First aid in St John Ambulance in 2017 and rolled it out nationally in collaboration with MHFA England and overseas.. I was also qualified as a MHFA instructor for Adults and Youth.

I find there is a cross over with topics delivered in these areas which compliment my supervision.
