I am a integrated Counsellor with 17 years of clinical experience, I am passionate about helping people find greater ease, self-understanding, and meaning in their lives. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD/CPTSD, relationship difficulties, or simply a sense of disconnection, I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can feel heard and supported.

I work with a range of concerns, including trauma (both complex and everyday), low self-worth, life transitions, and emotional distress. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy is a place to slow down, reflect, and gently explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that shape your life—opening up new ways of coping and relating.

Seeking therapy can feel daunting, but your struggles are valid. You don’t need to face them alone. I will meet you with empathy and care, at a pace that feels safe for you.

I also offer EMDR, a powerful, evidence-based therapy for processing distressing memories, helpful for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and low self-confidence.

About me and my therapy practice

In my work, I offer a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and explore what is happening for you beneath the surface. My original training was integrative, and my approach continues to draw on a range of methods, always adapted to your individual needs and held with deep respect for your unique experience.

I often use psychoeducation to help make sense of how the brain and body respond to stress, trauma, and emotion. Many people find it useful to understand why they feel and react in certain ways, as this can reduce shame and create more choice. I may also bring in body-based awareness, inviting you to notice sensations and patterns that reveal how past experiences can remain active in the present.

Exploring patterns is central to my practice. Together we can gently trace links between current difficulties and earlier experiences, recognising protective strategies you may have developed and considering whether they still serve you now. I also integrate CBT techniques where they may support practical change, for example in managing anxiety or breaking unhelpful cycles of thought and behaviour.

Alongside this, I may introduce transpersonal techniques, which highlight moments of connection, creativity, or a sense of something larger than ourselves. These can support meaning-making and provide valuable resources during difficult times.

My aim is not to impose a fixed method, but to collaborate with you in a way that feels safe, respectful, and attuned to your needs. Therapy with me is a space to be heard and supported as you develop new ways of understanding yourself, relating to others, and navigating life with greater ease and authenticity.

Practice description

My practice is a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. I work with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, low self-worth, and life transitions. Sessions are collaborative and client-led, meaning you are supported to explore what matters most to you, while I offer guidance, reflection, and practical tools to help you navigate your challenges.

I work online and from home, creating a flexible and comfortable environment to meet your needs. In therapy, we often explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and how these may connect to earlier experiences. I incorporate a range of approaches, including psychoeducation, integrative techniques, body awareness, transpersonal methods, and CBT-informed strategies where helpful.

Many people find it valuable to slow down in therapy, noticing the links between past and present, understanding how their mind and body respond to stress, and learning ways to respond differently. Above all, my practice is grounded in empathy, respect, and curiosity, offering a space where you can be heard, supported, and encouraged to develop new ways of understanding yourself, relating to others, and navigating life with greater ease.

My first session

In the first session, we focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe, supportive space for you to begin exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This session is an opportunity for you to share what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and any concerns or questions you may have about the process.

I will also explain my approach, including the methods and techniques I may draw on, such as psychoeducation, integrative and trauma-informed practices, body awareness, transpersonal methods, and CBT-informed strategies. We can discuss how these might be useful for your situation and explore what feels most comfortable and relevant for you.

The first session is also a practical opportunity to go through arrangements such as session frequency, length, and fees, as well as confidentiality and how therapy works in practice. I aim to ensure that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and clear about what the next steps might be.

Whether you are new to therapy or returning after a break, the first session is a chance to build trust, set intentions, and start the process at a pace that feels safe for you. It is not about having all the answers or immediately solving problems—rather, it is about creating a foundation for your ongoing work in therapy.
