About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Gestalt therapist working from Clifton in Bristol, Bath and online. My warm, welcoming style creates a space to feel seen, heard, supported and gently challenged to work through the issues you’re facing. I offer free 15-minute calls.
Reaching out and finding a therapist can feel daunting. I aim to make the process as welcoming and straightforward as possible. I will take time to answer any questions you may have about me, my approach, and how therapy could support you.
My approach
As a Gestalt therapist, I provide a safe, confidential and supportive space where we can explore what is happening in your life. Together we will focus on the issues that matter most to you, helping you develop awareness, compassion and new ways of relating.
My style is warm and welcoming. I work relationally and holistically, drawing on the three core pillars of Gestalt therapy: building an authentic and empathic relationship, exploring your unique experience in the present moment, and recognising how we are shaped by our wider environment. I also work creatively with different aspects of experience, body processes, thoughts, emotions.
My approach supports you to:
- Get to know yourself in a relationship where supportive challenge leads to deeper awareness and growth.
- Work through limiting beliefs and difficult past experiences
- Develop greater self-compassion and resilience
- Recognise when old coping strategies no longer serve you
- Build healthier relationships with yourself, others, and your environment
Practice description
Issues I work with
I have supported clients with a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety and panic
- Perfectionism and self-criticism
- Body image and low self-esteem
- Depression and low mood
- Bereavement and loss
- Trauma
- Relationship challenges and family issues
- Shame and feelings of disconnection
Many clients find therapy helps them feel calmer, more grounded, and more able to navigate life’s challenges, as well as more comfortable in who they are and what they need and want in relationships with themselves and others.
Intersectional approach
I am an Australian living in the UK, a mother, a woman, and a dyslexic practitioner with a background in the arts and community sector. I pay attention to how identity shapes experience, influencing how we are seen, related to, and understood. I take an intersectional approach that recognises the complexity of identity, especially for those who identify as LGBTQI+, are neurodivergent, or navigate racism, sexism, and other forms of marginalisation.
