About me and my therapy practice

I provide warmth, empathy, encouragement and acceptance to help you to safely explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours with the aim of relieving the symptoms you experience and to offer space for you to find your way.

I am a fully qualified and Íø±¬ÃÅ accredited Counsellor with over 20 years of experience in health, social care and the charitable sector. For 8 years I was employed in both adult and children's hospices, specialising in the provision of counselling to those experiencing complex health needs, bereavement and loss.

Practice description

Are you feeling lost, anxious or low? Are you struggling with coming to terms with changes in your life? Are you feeling aimless, overwhelmed or unmotivated? You are not alone. Life is full of uncertainty, and it can be hard to know where to turn when you have been trying to hold onto it all by yourself.

I use both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches to enable you to identify the challenges you are facing and to support you in finding your own unique path through them. I may help you to explore the past to establish how this might be influencing the present. You are the expert on your life, and I provide a space for you to experience attuned and compassionate listening so that together we can work towards you finding your own individual way through your difficulties.

Loss does not always mean losing someone. Sometimes our loss can be of confidence, hope, health, relationship, career, direction or sense of connection within our community. I work with many issues associated with loss including anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, relationship difficulties, family issues, postnatal problems, trauma, low self-esteem and isolation.

I provide both traditional indoor therapy, remote therapy as well as outdoor Ecotherapy, using local woodland and parkland.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a Supervisor in training, anticipating completion of my Diploma in Supervision in January 2026.

In the meantime I am able to offer concessionary rates to potential Supervisees.  Please get in touch to negotiate a fee and please do not let fees put you off making an enquiry.

Currently working as a Supervisor and Counsellor in private practice, and as a Clinical Service Manager in a low-cost counselling service for over 3 years, I have over 15 years of clinical experience as well as being an accredited member of Íø±¬ÃÅ for almost 10 years.

I am skilled and experienced at working alongside trainee Counsellors as well as qualified Counsellors, supporting them in development of skills and practice including risk management and safeguarding responsibilities. I work to the Íø±¬ÃÅ Competency Framework for Supervision.  I enjoy working in-person but am also able to offer remote supervision.

As a Counsellor, I was trained Psychodynamically and in my clinical practice I integrate this approach with Person-Centred principles and a relational style.

As a Supervisor, I adopt and value the Seven-Eyed Model, the Cyclical Model and also Proctor's 3-Function Model of Supervision.  I attune to your expressed supervision needs, learning style and developmental stage as a therapist in order to provide a safe, collaborative and dynamic space where you can bring your work with confidence.

I am trained to work both remotely and in person with individual Counsellors and in small groups.

Practice description

Session rates whilst in training are negotiable with a suggested fee of £40.
