About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative practitioner, working online. I draw on a variety of different approaches and schools of thought to offer individually tailored psychological support.As humans, our experience is a varied one - and sometimes we may be full of stress or conflicted emotions. At times we may have a sense of dissatisfaction, or a lack of fulfillment.
I believe that through talking therapies, we can begin to understand the processes and patterns at work in our lives. It is through this awareness that we give ourselves options, the power to change, to grow, and the opportunity to accept ourselves with greater compassion.
Practice description
I'm a relational practitioner - so for me it's all about the relationship I form with someone, and how we can use that to enquire and understand your experience. We can then decide if you're looking for acceptance or change, and move towards making this happen.
In the current climate of anxiety and apprehension both local and global, it might be that you find yourself feeling isolated, confused, or fearful. I work both face to face and online using a secure web comms service, and can also provide telephone or email support if this is preferable for you. Do reach out if you require support.
I also offer walking therapy at a number of parks in the South and East of London if the rhythm and dynamic of seated face-to-face sessions is overwhelming for you. Get in touch and we can have a chat about what this might look like for you.
My first session
In our first session I generally suggest we have a bit of a chat about what brings you to therapy and what is going on in your life at the moment.
We then might talk about how we could work together moving forwards. At this point I might give you a bit more information about me and my practice if this is something that interests you.
It's really important that you have a think and 'check in' with yourself before moving forwards and booking more sessions. Some people know straight away, some people like to sleep on it - it's very much up to you.
We will complete a working contract, risk assessment and GDPR acknowledgment in session two.
