About me and my therapy practice
Íø±¬ÃÅ
With over 15 years experience as a qualified therapist, I offer compassion, support and empathy for people in stressful situations.
I'm here to help, and would be delighted to meet you either in person or online. My aim is to improve self worth by talking through difficulties and managing stress in a calm and compassionate place. I help clients with difficulties in a short term situation or long term support but always with patience, understanding, and dignity. New clients are always welcome in my small office just on Kensington Church Street. I also offer digital therapy for world wide support.
I do believe in the close connection between body and mind and try to encourage clients to integrate this with lifestyle, diet and exercise. Small changes can make a big difference.
Areas I can help with include:
- Addictions
- ADHD
- Anger
- CBT
- Coaching
- General Anxiety
- Bereavement
- Depression
- Eating disorders
- Grief
- Health anxiety
- OCD
- Phobias
- Relationships
- Trauma
Practice description
Íø±¬ÃÅ
I listen with compassion and empathy to what brings you to therapy and offer a safe space where you can explain your experience without being judged. We can acknowledge these feelings and allow them to pass with tools and tricks to help manage them. This is to strengthen your core beliefs and help you negotiate past negative beliefs and move on more positively.
I help with everyday life and encourage you to build a better self through more self love and care.
Testimonials
"Laura is exactly the kind of therapist you wish for: Kind and encouraging, realistic yet comforting.
She helped me immensely during an acute period of stress and self-doubt following a chronic health diagnosis, but I've not doubt I'll continue to turn to her whenever I need extra support."
My first session
Íø±¬ÃÅ
The first session is an introductory session where you can bring whatever it is you are experiencing, whether it is a sudden crisis or a long term problem. I always listen with empathy and compassion as we plan to focus on specific issues as they arise. Each week brings a change as things start to shift and hopefully more clarity emerges.
We explore an overall picture of your situation and what you think you would like from therapy. Talking about things maybe for the first time, can be a new experience as we discuss managing difficulties and methods of self-care.
I’m here to help so there is no judgement.
