About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor with over 16 years of experience and a qualified supervisor. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and a qualified coach, having completed an ICF course. With 15 years of experience working in education, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges faced in both personal and professional contexts.
I was awarded the Best Counselling Service in my area.
Helping others achieve their full potential is my passion, and I have supported many clients in overcoming challenges and fostering positive change in their lives.
I believe every individual is unique and I tailor my approach to meet your needs. My work draws on a range of techniques, including talk therapy, trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, coaching, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. I also deliver peer support groups and workshops, offering clients additional ways to connect, reflect and grow.
My commitment is to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. With this support on your journey, everyone has the potential to heal and grow.
Benefits of working with an integrative counsellor:
A wide range of training and experience allows for flexibility in approach.
Sessions are tailored to your unique needs, increasing the likelihood of success.
If you are ready to take the next step, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and explore whether I might be the right counsellor for you.

Assessment: This may involve asking questions about your symptoms, history, and current life situation. Using assessment tools such as questionnaires or psychological tests.

Aim to build a rapport with you. This means creating a safe and trusting environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified supervisor and coach with over 16 years of experience in the education sector, specialising in supporting young people in educational settings.
I believe that a comfortable and supportive professional relationship is essential for effective supervision. Supervision provides a safe and reflective space where we can consider ourselves as practitioners, the needs of our clients, and the expectations and demands of the organisations we work within.
As a supervisor, I am committed to offering supervisees the guidance, encouragement, and challenge necessary to strengthen their effectiveness in client work. I provide individual supervision, available both face-to-face and online, tailored to the needs of the practitioner.
I also offer group supervision within organisations, as well as locally for private practitioners. I understand that working in private practice can often feel isolating, and group supervision provides a valuable opportunity for connection, support, and shared learning.
Alongside supervision, my background as a qualified coach enables me to draw on coaching approaches that encourage reflection, goal-setting, and professional growth. This integration of counselling, coaching, and supervision offers practitioners a well-rounded and supportive experience.
I am passionate about helping others grow in confidence, develop their skills, and deepen their professional knowledge. I see supervision as an essential part of our ongoing development and well-being as practitioners.
If you would like to know more about my supervision services, please feel free to get in touch.
Practice description
My approach to supervision is informed by the models of Hawkins & Shohet and Page & Wosket, which provide a strong foundation for reflective and effective practice. These models are underpinned by four key principles:
Coaching – fostering trust and rapport with supervisees while offering support, guidance, and encouragement.
Development – helping supervisees reflect on their practice, deepen self-awareness, and strengthen their skills and knowledge.
Resourcing – equipping supervisees with the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to work effectively.
Qualitative evaluation – assessing progress together, recognising growth, and identifying areas for further development.
I believe this framework offers a comprehensive and balanced approach to supervision, combining support with constructive challenge. My commitment is to provide supervisees with the space, guidance, and encouragement they need to feel resourced, confident, and able to thrive in their client work.
My first session
I offer a free introductory session as this allows both parties to get to know each other and to decide if this would be a good fit for our professional relationship. It also provides space and time for the supervisee to ask any questions about what they hope to gain and benefit from the sessions.
