Practice description
With extensive experience in integrative counselling, therapeutic supervision, and service development, I am committed to fostering psychological safety, ethical alignment, and collaborative growth in therapeutic spaces. My approach is rooted in warmth, professionalism, and relational depth, ensuring individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I have worked extensively with clients experiencing anxiety and depression, helping them navigate distress, develop coping strategies, and build emotional resilience. My therapeutic approach supports clients in identifying patterns, fostering self-awareness, and creating meaningful change.
I have also provided compassionate care to individuals facing bereavement and loss, guiding them through the grieving process with empathy and tailored interventions that respect their emotional needs and personal circumstances.
My work includes supporting children and young people in crisis and stabilisation of crisis, offering therapeutic interventions to help them manage acute mental health challenges, including self-harm, suicidal ideation, and trauma responses.
I also work with couples and families, addressing relational difficulties, communication breakdowns, and conflict resolution, fostering a space where healing and understanding can take place.
Beyond individual therapy, my expertise extends to clinical supervision, where I guide and support therapists in reflective practice, ensuring they deliver effective, client-centred care while maintaining professional growth and ethical alignment.
My first session
I practice from very safe and calming offices in central Braintree with easy access to the train and bus stations.
Your first session will be an assessment session, where we can explore whether working together feels right. This is an opportunity to discuss your needs, ask any questions, and determine if the therapeutic approach aligns with your expectations.
If we both agree to continue, therapy will begin with an open-ended contract, meaning that, wherever possible, we will both commit to ongoing sessions until you feel your therapeutic work is complete.
During the initial assessment, I will take a full history, gaining insight into your concerns, background, and goals. I will also discuss and agree on a treatment plan, including the expected duration and frequency of sessions, ensuring a structured approach tailored to your needs.
Therapy is a collaborative journey, and as your therapist I will support you in creating a safe and supportive space for exploration and growth.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified supervisor and my core training is Integrative which is informed by Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, humanistic, and solution focused therapy. I work with adults, children and young people and families, as well as with EAP's.
My supervision model is Hawkins and Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model. of Supervision. This model of supervision integrates the relational and systemic aspects of supervision. The Seven-Eyed supervision is a process-oriented approach which integrates the relational and systemic aspects of supervision. It focuses on the relationships between client, therapist and supervisor, and takes into consideration the interplay between each relationship and their context within the wider system.
All counsellors should have regular supervision to ensure they are providing clients with a safe, ethical, and competent service. I believe the supervisor/supervisee relationship should be warm, trusting, respectful, and sometimes challenging. A supervisor should be able to guide and help the professional development of the less experienced counsellor; creating a culture of openness to facilitate this whilst being able to meet the professional needs of an experienced counsellor. I believe I provide that. From my own experiences with supervisors over the years, I know the benefit of having a positive, safe relationship with my supervisor. It is invaluable. Unfortunately, I have experienced poor supervision too, and use my experiences of this to ensure that I regularly check with my supervisees that they are getting what they want from Supervision and that the relationship between us is working as it should be.
Prior to my professional training as a Counsellor, I had a wealth of experience working within the Human Resources and Employment Law business arena and she draws upon this in her work with workplace counselling with EAP providers.
I look forward to answering any questions to support you with supervision.
