About me and my therapy practice
I believe we all have within us the capacity to grow, heal and flourish. Yet for many, the challenges we experience throughout life — especially in childhood — can create barriers that make it hard to access this potential. We may have developed patterns of thinking, feeling or behaving that once helped us survive but now hold us back. At other times, early experiences or relationships may have left us feeling unsure of how to connect with ourselves or others in the present.
These difficulties can surface in many ways: anxiety that feels crippling, sadness or anger that feels overwhelming, or a persistent sense of being stuck or disconnected. Over time, our ways of coping — however effective they once were — can become part of the very barrier that prevents us from living with the ease, confidence and fulfilment we long for.
In our work together, I aim to create a space of curiosity, safety and understanding, where you can begin to unravel the experiences that continue to shape your inner world. Together we can explore how your past informs your present, and find new, more satisfying ways of relating to yourself, to others and to life as a whole.
I have experience working with a wide range of people and life situations — including those adjusting to major transitions, living with loss or trauma, navigating complex relationships, or seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their purpose. For some, therapy provides a chance to heal from the impact of specific experiences; for others, it becomes a journey of rediscovery and personal growth.
My intention is to meet you where you are, and to accompany you as you make sense of your story, reconnect with your strengths, and find your own way forward.

About me and my therapy practice
I regard supervision as a discipline in its own right which requires a different set of skills and competencies to therapy.
I believe in a model for supervision that is both collaborative and consultative. I recognise the autonomy of the trained professional and see my role as providing an opportunity for the supervisee to expand their understanding of their practice and the impact they have upon the people they work with.
I am committed to the person centred approach, however I feel able to support supervisees working within a range of professional disciplines as our main focus is the supervisee’s relationship with their client which exists outside of any particular modality.
I am willing to work with trainee therapists depending upon their stage of development and the requirements of their training organisation.
I also recognise that I have sufficient knowledge and experience to offer consultative supervision; that is to support other supervisors in their work with their own supervisees.
Practice description
I believe that the role of the supervisor is to encourage and support supervisees in their understanding of what is happening within the therapy space; appreciating and helping them develop their ability to manage these feelings and to take care of themselves; and together identify what they might need to develop further and how they might access this. This can be summarised as promoting and supporting Understanding, Competency and Growth and I see this as a shared journey for both of us.
My first session
The primary task is to establish a relationship of trust so supervisees feel they can talk freely and safely about any aspect of their work without fear of judgement. Through a preliminary conversation we can check out whether there is the basis for establishing this form of equal relationship based upon mutual respect. This is something that would be revisited regularly throughout the supervisory contract.
I am able to meet by telephone or video using Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp.
