Practice description
Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, especially if you鈥檙e not sure what to expect. My aim is to make the process as comfortable and supportive as possible.
In our first session, we鈥檒l spend time getting to know each other and exploring what has brought you to counselling. You don鈥檛 need to prepare anything鈥攚e鈥檒l go at your pace. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and see whether my approach feels right for you.
Each session lasts 1 hour and we鈥檒l meet in a private, calm, and confidential space. I鈥檒l listen carefully and without judgement, supporting you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we鈥檒l begin to understand what鈥檚 happening for you and consider ways to move forward.
Counselling is a collaborative process, and there is no 鈥渙ne size fits all.鈥 Some people come for just a few sessions, while others find longer-term work helpful. We can discuss what feels best for you as we go.
For those unable to attend the clinic鈥攐r who prefer to work this way鈥擨 also offer online sessions via video call, as well as counselling by phone. These options provide the same supportive, confidential space in a way that suits your needs.
Above all, you can expect warmth, respect, and a safe space where you feel heard and understood.
