About me and my therapy practice

Overview of How I Work

I provide counselling in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can feel genuinely heard, respected, and accepted. My approach is grounded in Person-Centred Experiential (PCE) therapy, which views each person as a unique and whole individual with the capacity to grow, heal, and connect with their inner resources. I work alongside you as a supportive, empathetic guide, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

In our sessions, you decide what is most important to explore, whether that’s navigating life changes, coping with grief or loss, addressing long-standing difficulties, or reflecting on relationships. Many clients find that simply being able to share their experiences openly brings relief, clarity, and a deeper understanding of themselves. By fostering self-acceptance and resilience, counselling can help you reconnect with your authentic self and discover new ways of moving forward with confidence.

The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental presence, providing support and understanding while encouraging you to access your own insights. My aim is to create an environment where you can feel safe to explore, reflect, and grow, building greater self-awareness and emotional strength that can be applied both in your personal life and your relationships with others.

Practice description

Practice Description

I offer counselling both in person and online, providing a welcoming, calm, and confidential environment where you can explore your experiences and work towards meaningful change. My practice is rooted in Person-Centred Experiential therapy, which recognises that each person is inherently capable of growth and self-understanding when supported in the right environment.

In my work, I focus on creating a trusting, authentic relationship where you feel fully accepted and heard. Sessions are guided by your needs, helping you explore challenges, uncover your strengths, and gain clarity about yourself and your life. People come to counselling for many reasons, including navigating transitions, coping with loss, reflecting on patterns that no longer serve them, or developing confidence and resilience.

Through this approach, you are encouraged to connect with your own inner resources and insights. By exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, you can build self-acceptance, develop greater emotional resilience, and approach life with more confidence and authenticity. My goal is to provide a supportive, empathetic presence that helps you feel empowered to live in alignment with your values and aspirations, fostering meaningful personal growth and wellbeing.

My first session

First Session

Finding the right therapist is important, and I may not be the right fit for everyone. To help you decide, I offer a free 30-minute initial conversation — face-to-face, online, or by phone. This gives you a chance to ask questions, share what you hope to achieve, and see how Person-Centred Experiential therapy feels for you. There’s no pressure to continue; it’s simply an opportunity to explore whether counselling with me feels right for you and your wellbeing.
