About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences safely and at your own pace. My approach is integrative, drawing primarily from person-centred and cognitive-behavioural (CBT-informed) frameworks, while also incorporating trauma-informed and relational principles.
This means our work together is shaped around your individual needs — focusing on understanding your experiences, identifying patterns, and finding practical ways forward. Some sessions may feel more reflective, while others may include structured strategies to help manage anxiety, low mood, or self-esteem difficulties.
I believe that genuine connection and trust form the foundation of healing and change. My role is not to direct or diagnose, but to help you make sense of your experiences, strengthen self-awareness, and develop tools for emotional resilience and wellbeing.
I have experience working with children, young people, and adults across school and community settings, supporting a wide range of issues including anxiety, loss, trauma, identity, and relationship challenges. Whether you are looking for short-term, solution-focused support or longer-term therapy, we will work together to find an approach that feels safe, supportive, and effective for you.
Practice description
I provide a calm, confidential, and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences and begin to make sense of what you’re going through. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss, self-esteem, or past trauma, my aim is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward at your own pace.
My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on both person-centred and CBT-based approaches to meet your individual needs. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and I adapt my way of working to ensure therapy feels collaborative and relevant to you. Together, we might focus on understanding the roots of distress, exploring emotional patterns, or developing practical strategies for coping and change.
I work with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds, and I place great importance on creating a space that is inclusive, safe, and free from judgement. Clients often describe my style as calm, genuine, and reflective — someone who listens deeply and helps them find clarity and confidence during difficult times.
Sessions can be online, depending on your needs. I offer both short-term, solution-focused therapy and longer-term support, and we will decide together what feels most helpful for you.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to see whether working together feels like a good fit. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it, but there’s no pressure — we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
During this session, I’ll explain how I work, outline confidentiality and boundaries, and answer any questions you might have about the process. Together we’ll begin to explore what’s been happening for you and agree on the best focus for our sessions.
I carry out a gentle assessment to help understand your current situation and needs, and to ensure therapy is safe and appropriate for you. This isn’t a test or formality, but simply a conversation designed to help us plan your support.
I charge the same rate for the first session as for ongoing sessions. If you decide to continue, we can agree a regular time and discuss whether short-term or longer-term therapy would best suit your goals.
