About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, grounded, and compassionate space for you to explore whatever brings you to therapy, whether that’s loss, anxiety, overwhelm, disconnection, or a longing to rediscover yourself. My approach is integrative, drawing on, person-centred, , mindfulness, spiritual perspectives, eco-therapy and creative arts, .
My work is rooted in a humanistic philosophy, I believe every person holds the capacity for growth and healing given the right conditions of empathy, acceptance, and authenticity. This foundation, combined with my integrative and eclectic approach, allows me to draw from a range of methods and perspectives to meet each client’s individual needs.
I believe no single approach fits everyone. Each person’s story is unique, and so is the way healing unfolds. The integrative nature of my work allows me to respond intuitively and creatively, sometimes through gentle reflection and dialogue, sometimes through listening to the body, mindfulness, or creative expression.
I also offer support for those affected by cancer, whether you’ve just received a diagnosis, are in treatment, adjusting to life after treatment, or supporting someone you love. My understanding of the emotional, physical, and spiritual impact of cancer comes not only from professional training but also from lived experience, which has deepened my empathy and commitment to helping others navigate such life-changing times with compassion, strength, and hope.
My intention is to offer a safe, non-judgemental, and authentic space where you can feel seen, supported, and able to reconnect with your own strength, wisdom, and truth.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, safe, and nurturing space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to reconnect with yourself. Sessions take place in a peaceful, nurturing space surrounded by nature, where you are invited to slow down and simply be. My intention is to create a grounded, accepting environment where you can explore what is happening within you, free from judgement or pressure.
Each session is shaped by what you bring. Sometimes that means talking things through, other times it may involve creative exploration, mindfulness, or gentle body-based awareness. I encourage clients to listen inwardly, to notice sensations, emotions, and the quieter parts of themselves that often go unheard.
I hold space with warmth and curiosity, allowing you to move at your own pace. Together we might work through anxiety, trauma, loss, or a sense of disconnection, while also cultivating presence, resilience, and self-compassion. I currently only work in person and also offer outdoor sessions for those drawn to the grounding presence of nature.
I also offer support for those affected by cancer, whether you have just received a diagnosis, are in treatment, adjusting to life after treatment, or caring for someone you love. My space is inclusive, gentle, and responsive to what each person needs.
Clients often describe my practice as calming and restorative, a place where they feel seen, understood, and supported as they reconnect with their own strength, wisdom, and sense of self. My aim is for every session to offer a moment of stillness and possibility, a time to breathe, reflect, and begin to feel at home within yourself once again.
My first session
The first session is a gentle introduction, an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see how it feels to work together. It’s a time to ask questions, explore your hopes and needs, and begin to get a sense of the pace and style of therapy that feels right for you.
Before the session, I’ll ask you to complete a brief client record form in line with Íø±¬ÃÅ ethical practice. This helps me understand a little more about your background, contact details, any relevant health information, and what has brought you to therapy. All information is treated with the utmost confidentiality and stored securely in accordance with GDPR requirements.
In our conversation, we’ll discuss what you’d like to focus on, what you feel ready to explore, and any preferences you may have for how we work together. I’ll also explain my approach, confidentiality, cancellations, and practical arrangements so everything feels clear and transparent from the beginning.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions. There’s no obligation to continue afterwards, the first meeting is simply a calm, supportive space to begin gently and decide together what feels most helpful for you going forward.
