About me and my therapy practice
I provide Psychotherapy for adults from my private practice in Melksham, Wiltshire.
Are you struggling with something specific in your life that is causing you concern or holding you back? Do you have a sense that something doesn’t feel right, but you aren’t sure what it is?
Most of us will suffer with some kind of psychological distress at some point in our lives, this is normal. Reaching out for support can be hard but talking to a psychotherapist can help ease that distress and set you on a path of healing, self-discovery and personal growth.
From a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space, I'll help you explore the challenges you are facing in life, gain deeper insight and understanding about yourself, heal from past hurts and deepen your connection with yourself and others.
Practice description
About Me
I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist (MA, Dip HIP) with 9 years experience, providing in-person psychotherapy for individual adults (18+) over a short term and long term basis. Together we can work in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space so you can explore the challenges you are facing, gain deeper insight and understanding about yourself, deepen your connections with yourself and others and work towards fulfilling your full potential.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
The way I practice focuses on exploring your 'self'. We would look at your relational patterns and behaviour with others and with yourself. Your early experiences in childhood and how they have shaped you, trauma in the many forms it can present and anything else that feels important or arises for you as we journey together.
I describe the way I work as a curious deep dive, where we look to explore and understand yourself better and your connection to others and the world. I believe this promotes healing and growth.
The therapy is led by you, so we go at your pace and discuss whatever feels comfortable for you. I won't force you to explore anything you aren't ready to explore, and I won't be prescriptive. My role is to guide, support and empower you on your healing journey.
As a humanistic integrative psychotherapist, I can draw on a range of different approaches, depending on your personal journey.
Every client is different, so when we get to know each other and I can find out more about the difficulties you are facing, I can tailor my approach to your unique circumstances. This way, you can be sure that you are getting the therapy that is best suited to your needs.
My first session
I like to meet clients for an initial session to start with and see how we could work together. An initial session gives you a chance to talk a bit more about what you think you need from therapy and I can explain the way I work and see if this suits you. It also gives you an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable with me and my space.
If we were to go ahead with regular therapy we would meet weekly on the same day at the same time.
I charge my standard fee for an initial session.
