About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative therapist, I draw on psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational approaches to meet each client as an individual. My work is grounded in the belief that therapy is a collaborative process 鈥 one where genuine connection and curiosity can support meaningful change.
From a psychodynamic perspective, I pay attention to how early experiences and unconscious patterns may shape current relationships, emotions, and behaviours. My humanistic values emphasise empathy, authenticity, and respect for each person鈥檚 capacity for growth. Working relationally, I see the therapeutic relationship itself as central to healing and understanding 鈥 a space where new ways of relating can be explored safely and thoughtfully.
I aim to offer a warm, reflective, and non-judgmental space where clients can deepen self-understanding, process emotional pain, and reconnect with their strengths and values. Together, we can explore both the past and the present to help create a more grounded and authentic way forward.
Practice description
I offer a warm, reflective space where you can explore what feels difficult, confusing, or painful at your own pace. My practice is grounded in the belief that therapy is not about 鈥渇ixing鈥 you, but about creating a space where understanding, connection, and change can unfold naturally.
I work integratively, drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational approaches. This means I pay attention to both your past experiences and what is happening in the present, including the relationship we build together. I believe that our patterns of relating often repeat in many ways, and therapy can help bring these into awareness so they can be understood and transformed.
I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, and identity. I also have an interest and expertise in neurodiversity, eating difficulties, and addiction.
Whether you are coming to therapy for a specific reason or to gain a deeper sense of yourself, I aim to offer a space that feels safe, collaborative, and respectful of your individual pace and needs
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. We鈥檒l talk about what you hope to gain from the process and what you might need to feel supported and comfortable. It鈥檚 also a chance for you to ask any questions about how I work and to get a sense of whether I feel like the right fit for you.
During this session, I鈥檒l invite you to share a little about your background, current circumstances, and what you鈥檇 like to focus on. I鈥檒l also explain practical aspects such as confidentiality, session length, and fees, unless we have already discussed this.
If we decide to continue, we鈥檒l arrange a regular time to meet weekly. The first session is charged at the standard rate, and I sometimes require clients to complete an assessment if it feels therapeutically useful. Not everyone wants or needs to do this.
My aim is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you can begin to feel heard, understood, and start to make sense of what you鈥檙e experiencing
