About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel overwhelmed — at work, in relationships, or within yourself? Perhaps you’re a professional or leader who appears in control but privately struggles with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, or a harsh inner critic. You may also be facing family issues or carrying the long-term impact of trauma, such as emotional neglect, criticism, unpredictability, or abuse from childhood.

I help people heal past wounds and move toward the future they want, combining counselling and coaching. Together we explore your patterns, soothe self-doubt, and build confidence, healthier relationships, and clearer direction. I walk alongside you in a warm, grounded, non-judgemental space, supporting both emotional healing and personal growth.

I offer support for adults experiencing:

Anxiety, depression

Low self-esteem and self-doubt

Trauma, including childhood abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse

Family issues and relationship difficulties

Stress, burnout, and work-related pressures

Identity, cultural or life transitions

Personal growth and career clarity through counselling and executive coaching

Practice description

I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and have experience working with adults from a wide range of backgrounds and with a variety of presenting issues. My client work includes supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, and life transitions.

I have extensive experience working with clients who have experienced abuse, including childhood sexual abuse, providing a safe, sensitive, and non-judgemental space to explore their experiences and begin the healing process.

My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), somatic, and creative therapy models. This allows me to tailor my work to each individual’s needs, combining empathy and insight with practical support for change.

I continue to develop my knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development (CPD/CPE), supervision, and reflective practice, including:

Working with Survivors of Sexual Abuse in Childhood

Somatic Therapy for Complex Trauma

I also integrate executive coaching into my practice, supporting clients to gain clarity, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their personal and professional lives.

I work with adults online and in person in SW19 and KT2.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, calm and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely and without judgement. My approach is integrative, drawing on  person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural (CBT) models, allowing me to tailor sessions to your individual needs and pace.

Together, we can make sense of your experiences, uncover underlying patterns, and develop practical ways to manage challenges and create meaningful change. I work collaboratively and sensitively, helping you build self-awareness, emotional resilience and confidence in moving forward.

Practice description

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor providing therapy to adults from diverse backgrounds, working with a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss and life transitions.

I have been supporting many clients who have experienced abuse, including sexual abuse in childhood. I offer a sensitive and trauma-aware space where you can explore painful experiences safely and at your own pace.

My approach is mainly person-centred, grounded in the belief that we all have an inner capacity for growth and change when given the right conditions. I also incorporate elements of other modalities including psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural (CBT) approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. This allows flexibility to explore both past experiences and present challenges, combining empathy and reflection with practical strategies for coping and change.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years working in the corporate sector, where I managed international client relationships and cross-cultural projects. This background gives me valuable insight into workplace pressures, leadership challenges and the emotional impact of demanding professional environments. It also enhances my ability to support clients experiencing stress, burnout or career-related difficulties.

I am currently undertaking a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching at Henley Business School, which is further deepening my understanding of leadership, workplace dynamics and personal development.

Having lived in both China and the UK, I bring an awareness of cultural difference, identity and belonging, and welcome clients from all backgrounds. I aim to offer an inclusive and understanding space where you can feel heard, valued and supported to make meaningful change.

My first session

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.

I offer a free first session which is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling. We will explore what you hope to gain from therapy and discuss how we might work together. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready to — there’s no pressure or expectation.

This initial meeting also gives you a chance to experience my way of working and decide whether you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling, so it’s important that you feel safe, heard and respected.

Practical aspects such as confidentiality, session frequency and fees will also be discussed. By the end of the first session, we can agree on the best way forward — whether that’s continuing for a few sessions or working together longer-term.

I offer in person and online sessions.  I’m happy to answer any questions before we start so that you can feel confident and supported from the beginning.
