About me and my therapy practice
Do you have an inner voice that constantly judges you? Do you find it hard to trust others, yet long for meaningful connection? Do you want to move forward and live life to the full, but feel held back by the past?
If this sounds like you, I may be able to help. I have extensive experience supporting clients who have had adverse experiences in childhood — including sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, neglect, parental separation, and dysfunctional family dynamics — and I understand how such experiences can continue to affect many aspects of life in adulthood.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs, offering a safe and compassionate space to explore the past, make sense of its impact, and move towards healing and personal growth.
Before becoming a counselling I worked in the professional and financial services sector for 20 years which forms a basis for working with a wide range of professionals and entrepreneurs. I work from rooms in Kensington, Wimbledon and Kingston Upon Thames and also deliver sessions via Zoom. I offer both day and evening appointments from Wednesday to Statuary.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, calm and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely and without judgement. My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural (CBT) models, allowing me to tailor sessions to your individual needs and pace.
Together, we can make sense of your experiences, uncover underlying patterns, and develop practical ways to manage challenges and create meaningful change. I work collaboratively and sensitively, helping you build self-awareness, emotional resilience and confidence in moving forward.
Practice description
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor providing therapy to adults from diverse backgrounds, working with a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss and life transitions.
I have extensive experience supporting clients who have experienced abuse, including sexual abuse in childhood. I offer a sensitive and trauma-aware space where you can explore painful experiences safely and at your own pace.
My approach is mainly person-centred, grounded in the belief that we all have an inner capacity for growth and change when given the right conditions. I also incorporate elements of other modalities including psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural (CBT) approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. This allows flexibility to explore both past experiences and present challenges, combining empathy and reflection with practical strategies for coping and change.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years working in the corporate sector, where I managed international client relationships and cross-cultural projects. This background gives me valuable insight into workplace pressures, leadership challenges and the emotional impact of demanding professional environments. It also enhances my ability to support clients experiencing stress, burnout or career-related difficulties.
I am currently undertaking a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching at Henley Business School, which is further deepening my understanding of leadership, workplace dynamics and personal development.
Having lived in both China and the UK, I bring an awareness of cultural difference, identity and belonging, and welcome clients from all backgrounds. I aim to offer an inclusive and understanding space where you can feel heard, valued and supported to make meaningful change.
My first session
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling. We will explore what you hope to gain from therapy and discuss how we might work together. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready to — there’s no pressure or expectation.
This initial meeting also gives you a chance to experience my way of working and decide whether you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling, so it’s important that you feel safe, heard and respected.
Practical aspects such as confidentiality, session frequency and fees will also be discussed. By the end of the first session, we can agree on the best way forward — whether that’s continuing for a few sessions or working together longer-term.
I offer mainly online sessions, if you prefer in person, please enquire. I’m happy to answer any questions before we start so that you can feel confident and supported from the beginning.
