About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I鈥檓 Sophie Hall, a 网爆门-registered counsellor offering a warm, grounded and confidential space for adults to explore what鈥檚 happening in their lives. I believe you are the expert on yourself 鈥 my role is to provide genuine understanding, respect and a safe, non-judgemental relationship in which you can make sense of things, find clarity and move toward greater self-acceptance.
My approach is person-centred, meaning I follow your pace and focus on what feels most important to you. The counselling process is collaborative 鈥 together we explore your experiences and work towards greater understanding and emotional wellbeing.
My own path into counselling was inspired by experiencing the power of being truly heard during a difficult time. Before retraining as a counsellor, I worked in education, and that background continues to inform my curiosity and compassion for the many ways people learn and grow.
I鈥檝e supported clients with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism), relationship challenges and life transitions. I offer sessions in person (Walthamstow, South Woodford, Barkingside), as well as online and by phone for flexibility.
At heart, my practice is about providing a space where you don鈥檛 need to have it all figured out 鈥 where you can be heard without judgement, explore what鈥檚 difficult, and begin to reconnect with your sense of self and direction.
Practice description
I offer one-to-one counselling for adults (18+) in comfortable, private rooms across Walthamstow, South Woodford and Barkingside, as well as online and telephone sessions for clients anywhere in the UK.
My practice is inclusive and welcoming to people from all backgrounds. I often work with men navigating relationship or life changes, with clients exploring identity or purpose, and with those who identify as neurodivergent or who feel misunderstood or 鈥渙ut of sync鈥 with others.
Clients come with a wide range of concerns 鈥 anxiety, depression, stress, loss, low confidence, trauma, or simply feeling stuck or disconnected. However you arrive, you鈥檒l find a calm, supportive space where you can talk freely, at your own pace.
Our first step is a free 15-minute introductory chat 鈥 a chance to meet, ask questions and see if working together feels right. Sessions last 50 minutes, and we can agree on a short-term or open-ended approach depending on your goals.
In our sessions, you can expect warmth, respect and curiosity. We鈥檒l explore what matters to you, uncover what鈥檚 getting in the way, and support you to build clarity, resilience and self-understanding.
My aim is that counselling with me offers a space where you can feel truly listened to, understood, and better equipped to move forward.
