About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist with a holistic approach to therapy. Integrative means that I draw from several modalities, namely, psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and transpersonal. Hence, I do not have a 'one size fits all' approach. Instead, I meet the client where they are, which is informed by a heart-centred, client led approach and will take aspects from a particular principle/s and apply appropriately in service to whatever their needs might be.
In recognition that we all respond better to some methods more than others for varying reasons, I use a number of tools to help with each therapeutic journey. This includes art, body work, breathing and grounding techniques, chair work, dream work, inner child work, music, visualisations.
I offer a safe, confidential, empathetic, and non-judgemental space for individuals to process and make sense of whatever they may be experiencing. I understand that we are all complex beings, and often trying to navigate our way through life can be challenging. Seeking therapy can be overwhelming. I honour your courage!
Most of all, I am passionate about what I do and have personally experienced the positive benefits that therapy can have on the whole being. For example, in the form of growth, enhanced awareness, increased self-love, and most of all trust in myself that my inner wisdom is the ultimate guide.
Seeking assistance through therapy can appear daunting. My approach is compassionate, attuned, and gentle. It is tailored to the needs of each individual. Together, we explore the source/s of each presenting issue and identify supportive techniques and changes that can cultivate empowerment. I am here to accompany you on this journey at your own pace. You are not alone!
Practice description
If you would like to schedule an initial complimentary Zoom consultation (15 minutes) ahead of booking, or an initial full session (50 minutes), feel free to email me. This will help you gauge whether psychotherapy is right for you.
If it feels right for you, I begin by making an assessment based on a series of basic questions that I will email to you for completion before the first session. This will give me an idea of your presenting issues and what you hope to gain from therapy.
Please note that I do offer a discount for Trainee Psychotherapists/Students. £45 per session.
My first session
During the first session, I will go through the questions with you for clarity and to have a more detailed understanding of your life. It is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have, and to give you an idea of how I work. It also allows me to make sure that I am the right person to help you.
If we decide to work together, I will support you in working towards your aims for therapy and any other additional issues or concerns you may choose to bring.
Each session is an opportunity to share whatever you wish in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, and compassionate space.
