About me and my therapy practice
Growth is rooted in connection. Therapy doesn’t have to focus solely on managing distress; it can also be about striving to live a more fulfilling life with meaning and purpose. Taking the step to seek out a counsellor who feels right for you is a brave one, and I’m here to help.
I bring compassion and warmth to our sessions, offering support with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma and more, to aid self-discovery. I provide a listening ear and a safe, non-judgemental space, including gentle, non-intrusive challenge, which can be powerful in enabling change. Together, we can explore unhelpful or difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours, helping you make sense of your experiences and move towards greater resilience and fulfilment. I aim to support psychological well-being and personal growth in a therapeutic environment that nurtures these goals.
Human first, always. I welcome working with adult individuals of all ages, ethnicities and identities, including those within the LGBTQI+ community. My approach is Humanistic, that is predominantly person-centred and relational, with you, the client, as the expert in your own life. Sessions are led in the way that feels most fitting for you in any given moment. Having sought counselling at various points in my own life, I have felt and understood first-hand the power of having space held for me at a time when no one else could, a true therapeutic relationship. With this personal experience alongside my professional training, I aim to understand your world as you experience it, helping you find your own answers and encouraging you to take the driving seat in your life.
Practice description
Sessions are 50 minutes long, and I work face-to-face from a friendly wellbeing centre in Clarendon Park, Leicester, as well as online. We can work short-term or long-term, depending on your needs and wishes, and this can be reviewed at any point through collaborative discussion.
