About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. This means I draw on a range of therapeutic models and tailor my approach to suit your individual needs because no two people or experiences are the same.

As a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) which means you can be assured that I work ethically, professionally, and with integrity. I hold full enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and engage in regular clinical supervision to ensure safe and effective practice.

Practice description

My practice is based in Swanley, Kent, and I also offer online counselling for those who prefer or require remote sessions. I have experience working with both young people and adults, and have volunteered within a mental health service and a children’s hospice. Alongside my counselling work, I am also involved in the funeral industry, where I have gained a deep understanding of grief and bereavement.

Whether you are engaging in therapy for the first time or returning to explore something new, I will work collaboratively with you at your pace, and to your agenda.

As an integrative therapist, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Depending on your needs, our work together may include:

Person-Centered Counselling - Offering a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, valued, and supported as you find your own path forward.

Psychodynamic Therapy - Exploring how your past experiences may be influencing your present, helping you gain deeper insight into recurring patterns or emotional challenges.

Cognitive Approaches - Looking at the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and developing practical strategies to help you manage difficulties and make meaningful changes.

Above all, my aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where you can begin to understand yourself more deeply and move towards the change you want to see in your life.

My first session

In our first session, together we will look at our contract, I will explain as I work as a counsellor and answer any questions you may have.

I will complete a short assessment with you to help me understand what you would like to achieve by coming to therapy and a little bit about your background.

I am happy to have a free telephone consultation with you prior to your first session if you feel this would be of benefit to you.
