About me and my therapy practice
I’m Oliver, a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist based in South London. I provide a warm, reflective, and collaborative space to explore the challenges, questions, and experiences that shape your life.
My approach is rooted in the belief that we make sense of ourselves through our relationships with others, with the world, and with our own experience, and that therapy can be a space to understand and transform the patterns which may be holding us back.
With me you can expect therapy that feels alive, relational, and real. Together, we might explore not only what is happening in your life, but also how it feels to be you, and how that shows up between us in the room.
Practice description
I see therapy as a process of making contact with hidden parts of yourself, with emotions that have been hard to name and feel, and with your own unique sense of meaning. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or just the day to day navigation of a complex life, our work can provide you warmth, reflection, and support.
At its heart, my practice is simple: to meet you as a person, not a problem and to understand your story with care, helping you live with more authenticity, connection, and freedom.
My work integrates a person-centered emphasis on authenticity, the relational insights of psychodynamic therapies, and philosophical existential ideas about freedom, choice, and meaning. I believe that healing begins when we feel truly recognised and understood. Sometimes this means exploring past experiences and relationships and other times it’s about staying close to what feels alive and immediate.
I first tried therapy earlier in my life when I had grown tired and frustrated with the challenges of navigating my relationships and needed a place to gather and share my thoughts, and more deeply explore elements of my past that were holding me back. I found therapy to be a valuable and safe place to explore my thoughts and feelings and to be understood in a non-judgmental and supportive way. I hope to provide this space to you in our work.
I work with a queer-inclusive and trans affirmative focus and have experience coaching and working one-to-one with neurodivergent individuals.
