About me and my therapy practice
Beginning counselling can feel daunting and vulnerable at first, which is why I place great importance on confidentiality and emotional safety, helping you feel comfortable and at ease. From there, I offer a warm, empathetic space where you can open up and feel truly seen and heard.
The process of counselling can help with difficult or painful thoughts and feelings, and also focus on the inner potential. I work with clients to identify and draw on inner resources to live a fuller, more satisfying life.
I take an integrative approach, blending theories from diverse modalities such as psychodynamic, gestalt, person-centred, existential, ACT, CBT, transactional analysis as well as coaching practices to tailor treatment to the individual needs of each client. By drawing on a wide range of therapeutic and coaching techniques, I attempt to address various aspects of a client’s mental health, from underlying emotional patterns to present-day challenges. This flexible approach allows for a deeper understanding of the client’s experiences, fostering self-awareness and facilitating personal growth.
With a background in working with vulnerable asylum seekers, I have extensive experience in working with displaced individuals from war-torn countries, as well as those who have fled persecution and attempting to rebuild a new life.
I have also worked at NHS Sutton Talking Therapies and can support with a broad range of issues including identity, depression, anxiety, and patterns of coping that may be unhelpful or damaging.
I hold a PGDip in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from University of East London.
