About me and my therapy practice
It might feel like a big step to reach out and seek therapy, and I will meet you with warmth and empathy. Together we can work through what may be preventing you from living a fulfilling life. If you're feeling stuck, unable to move on from past events such as bereavement, abuse or relationship issues, or are experiencing depression or anxiety, I would like to help you find a way forward.
From your initial enquiry, I will treat you with respect as you share your story with me. I believe feeling safe will help us develop our therapeutic relationship, so we will always work at your pace. I will not give you advice or tell you what you should do. Through mutual trust, and our supportive, nurturing relationship, you may gain clarity and confidence and start to make different choices, leading to a deeper connection within yourself and with the people you care about.
I believe change is possible throughout life. Our sessions provide dedicated time for you to explore how to move closer to living the life you desire. Together, we can examine the beliefs and behaviours that may have brought you to this point. Through increasing self-awareness, you may gain a renewed sense of purpose for the next phase in life, as we work together to bring about meaningful change.
I work online or over the telephone if that’s more convenient for you.
Practice description
I'm a person-centred therapist, who will stay along side you as you reflect upon distressing issues or experiences that may prevent you living the life you desire.
I will create a safe space that is free from judgement, where you will be valued and supported by my nurturing, empowering and compassionate approach.
We can experiment with creative therapy, such as story telling and life-story expressive writing. We will work at your pace.
I work online or over the telephone. Sessions are 50 minutes long. We can work short or long term, and review as we go.
I have several years experience of bereavement counselling with Cruse Bereavement, in a specialist role supporting people bereaved by suicide; I'm an outreach worker with the Samaritans in the community and work therapeutically with first responders in the emergency services. I have previously worked with clients who are care-experienced, other-abled, or dual-heritage.
I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Brighton (level 7) as well as a degree in French from the University of Sussex.
I’m a fluent French speaker and work therapeutically in French.
I'm a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ), and follow their code of Ethical Practice. I have an enhanced DBS certificate and have previously worked as a teacher.

I'm a person-centred therapist, and will stay along side you as you reflect upon issues or experiences that may cause distress, or feelings of shame, anger or despair.
I will create a safe space that is free from judgement, where you will be valued and supported by my nurturing, empowering and compassionate approach.
We can experiment with creative therapy, including art, sand tray work, story telling and expressive writing, if this appeals to you. We will work at your pace.
We can work inside, from a comfortable therapy space, or from my coastal room on the beach, or we can work outdoors, in walk and talk therapy. The choice is yours, and we may switch between both approaches, agreed in advance.
I believe working therapeutically in nature may provide a different perspective from which to consider the challenges you're facing. Previously as a client, I found it liberating to engage both body and mind by talking through difficult issues outside, alongside my therapist.
