About me and my therapy practice

Life can sometimes feel confusing, overwhelming, and exhausting, especially when everything seems to be happening at once. I offer a calm, non-judgemental and compassionate space where you can feel heard, accepted and understood. Together, we work at your pace to help you make sense of your experiences and find ways forward that feel right for you. We can begin to make sense of what’s going on in your life, gently piecing things together like a jigsaw puzzle until a clearer picture begins to form. You don’t have to make sense of it all on your own.

Practice description

Being an integrative counsellor means I’m able to draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual client. The techniques and methods I use are tailored specifically to you, depending on what feels most supportive and helpful in each moment.

Together, we can look at how your past experiences, unconscious patterns, and relationship dynamics may be influencing how you think, feel, and respond in the present. As these deeper layers come into awareness, you can begin to understand yourself more fully and create meaningful shifts in your life. Having someone alongside you to support, reflect, and gently guide you as you make sense of your own story can be a deeply transformative experience.

My sessions tend to develop organically, allowing us to go with the flow of what arises naturally. This flexible and intuitive way of working supports genuine exploration and deeper self-understanding.

I work with clients online, in my counselling room in Basingstoke, and also offer walk and talk therapy, providing an opportunity to reflect and process in the soothing presence of nature. I can also come to your home if it’s more convenient for you.

My first session

If you’re considering counselling, we can begin with an initial 15 minute telephone conversation, giving you the chance to get a feel for how I work and decide whether you think we might be a good fit. From there, we can arrange a first session to begin exploring what you’d like to focus on.

Our first session is a chance for us both to get a sense of one another and explore how we might work together. I’ll gently ask about your background and what has brought you to therapy, and you’re welcome to ask any questions or share whatever feels important. Before we meet, I’ll send over my therapeutic contract so you have time to read through it and clarify anything you’re unsure about.
