About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, working in NW London. If you are feeling overwhelmed, panicky, confused or stuck, I can help you understand your experience and move forward.

I am qualified with a clinical diploma and MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute in London. Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked as a social researcher and I hold an MSc in Gender and Social Policy.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, trauma, low self-esteem, loneliness, work-related stress, loss of purpose, managing transitions and change in life. I work with a neurodiversity-affirming and non-discriminatory approach. I am interested in ageing and in climate anxiety. I have several years of experience working in the charity sector.

I provide a warm, accepting, non-judgemental space where we can work together to understand what you need, how to make sense of what's troubling you and how you can bring about change. I will be alongside you while you explore aspects of yourself - your thoughts, feelings, identity, behaviour - going at the pace that feels right for you. My hope is that as we work together you will feel understood and accepted for who you are, able to increase your trust in yourself and your connection with others.

I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs. I draw on knowledge from neuroscience about how our nervous system affects us and techniques for regulating and managing emotions. I work with the connections between mind and body, what we can learn from the sensations and tensions in our body. I am interested in how our past impacts on how we are today and who we can be in the future.

Practice description

I work with adults on a short term or long term basis, meeting weekly face to face. I work in two locations in North West London, one is in Queens Park and the other in Warwick Avenue.

I'm happy to have a short initial chat on the phone to discuss what you're looking for and how we might work together. If you decide you would like to engage with therapy, we will review how things are going after 6 weeks and then at regular intervals, allowing you to assess whether the sessions are meeting your needs.

I am fully insured and my work is professionally supervised, I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and registered member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ).

My first session

I offer an initial 15-20 minute phone call to help you decide if you want to book a session. The first session is an introductory session to find out more about the process and for me to understand what you are hoping for from therapy. The cost of this introductory session is £45.

Please email or call me if you would like to discuss.
