About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Natasha. I know that people come to therapy for all kinds of reasons, and I understand that searching for a counsellor can feel overwhelming. Knowing this, I’ve purposely kept my information concise. Please get in touch if you’d like to have a free 30-minute introductory telephone or video call to help you put a voice to my profile.

I’m here to learn about your reason for looking into therapy.

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy with a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling. This means I maintain membership with a professional body which recognises that my qualification and experience of working with clients supports my ability to work in private practice. It also demonstrates my ongoing commitment to professional development, working ethically and remaining competently up to date with any changes in counselling.

I have experience working with clients on a range of presenting issues which include self-esteem, relationship challenges, bereavement, anxiety, suicidal ideation, depression, stress, navigating a neurodivergence diagnosis, and childhood trauma.

Practice description

I’m a person-centred counsellor which means I work with my clients to understand their experiences and feelings. I’m curious about how it feels to be you, offer a non-judgemental space and create safety through keeping our work confidential. I’m open, honest and transparent about what I notice in our sessions as this can be helpful for self-reflection and personal growth. I don’t give advice as I respect and value you as an individual – advice that could work for one person is unlikely to work for everyone.

Instead, I’ll explore with you and support you in understanding what shapes you as a person. I believe that we all have the tools to help ourselves, but at times of difficulty, it can be hard to access these.

I’ll be there with you to discover these again or for the first time, so you have your own unique coping strategies to help you in life. I’ll work at your pace and will be led by what you are ready to talk about. Through regular reviews, we’ll work together to understand how we can develop our sessions, so you are getting what you need to help you reach your full potential, to accept and become your true self.

My first session

In our first full session, I will run through the contract so you can ask any further questions and agree how we’ll work together. There will also be some risk assessment, and potentially some safeguarding questions. This reflects my duty of care to you and to make sure I can support you in the best way possible.

What I can help with

Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Eating disorders, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
