About me and my therapy practice
You are hoping that it will go away, if you keep trying the same patterns of coping, if you just try hard enough. You fear the future and wonder how you will explain yourself to the people close to you. You feel like you have lost an important part of who you are.
Hello, and welcome. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is essential. If you feel you could talk to me, please read on.
I can help. I offer therapy to support people who are struggling, feeling unsure or afraid, but who want to make a change in their lives. Is this where you might be right now?
In times of distress, therapy can be a life-line for some, or for others, an exciting space for personal growth and exploration.
As an Integrative Counsellor (MÍø±¬ÃÅ), I work with different theoretical concepts and models depending on my clients’ needs and ways of experiencing. Some of the most common issues I'm used to working with are anxiety, depression, relationship issues (past or current), anger, guilt, shame, trauma and suicide.
Whatever your reason is for seeking therapy, simply talking can be tremendously helpful.
I am interested in supporting adults navigating:
· Addiction & Compulsive Behaviours, including substance use, sex, love, and porn addiction.
· LGBTQIA+ Identity & Life Transitions, such as exploring your sexuality, identity or becoming a parent.
· Climate anxiety/grief.
I integrate therapeutic models from the following perspectives:
Relational & Psychodynamic: Exploring how early relationships and unconscious patterns influence your life today.
Embodied: Tuning into the body's wisdom, as emotions and experiences have a physical basis.
Humanistic: Honoring the unique person-to-person relationship we build in therapy.
My Qualifications:
* Íø±¬ÃÅ Accredited Diploma Integrative Counselling
* Additional training Adv.Dip/MA Int. Psychotherapy
* Foundation Cert. Integrative Counselling
* TA 101 - Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy
* 7 Years Recovery and Addiction Support
Practice description
Therapy can be as challenging as it is rewarding. I will work alongside you with compassion and patience, creating a safe space where you can explore difficult feelings, perhaps for the first time. This process of rediscovering and making peace with disowned parts of yourself is a profound act of courage. Change becomes possible when we can first meet ourselves with acceptance.
There are many parts of you, and my aim is to welcome them all, at your pace. You may find yourself not knowing or feeling uncertain. When our experience is held with compassion, it can be transformative and open up new areas of our personality.
My first session
Having been a client myself, I bring my experience and understanding, combined with professional training. Channeling this, I hold a space for you that respects pain, joy, uncertainty and everything in between. I endeavour to meet you with my heart, humility, and humour.
If you are interested in working together, please contact me on this page and I will invite you for an initial consultation online which lasts 50 minutes and costs £50. For a smooth onboarding process and so we can get right to therapy, I will ask you to fill out a basic personal information sheet before we meet.
During the consultation I will ask some questions about you, what’s brought you to therapy and your history. You will also have a chance to find out a little about me and the way I work too. This session is designed as a chance for both of us to see if we have a sense of connection that would be a good starting point for therapy. This can often be a gut feeling.
If we decide we aren’t a good fit I can help find a referral for you, or pass on further resources that may be of use.
