About me and my therapy practice
Are you wondering whether I might be the right therapist for you? It’s completely natural to take some time in finding the right fit. Many people find it helpful to speak with a few different therapists before deciding who feels right for them. With this in mind, I offer a free 20-30 minute consultation. There’s no obligation to commit; it’s simply an opportunity for us to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
My Approach:
I've been supporting people through significant emotional challenges and adverse life circumstances since 2012, first in professional roles and as a therapist.
My approach is flexible and responsive, supporting a wide range of emotional difficulties, from everyday challenges to more complex or traumatic experiences. I place great value on the therapeutic relationship, creating a safe and collaborative space where you can bring the things that feel too hard to face on your own.
During our sessions, I'll work alongside you to make sense of your experiences, including those things that feel challenging or hard to accept. I'll support you in building a stronger sense of who you are, working through inner conflicts, and strengthening your resilience and inner resources. I always prioritise emotional safety and adjust the pace of our work to suit what feels right for you.
I view each person as unique and as the expert in their own life experience. My integrative approach is grounded in the here and now, embracing a person-centred core and is enriched by Gestalt methodology. I also draw upon psychodynamic psychotherapy and attachment theory, recognising that early relational experiences can shape our development and ongoing emotional life.
Experience and credentials:
BSc (Hons) Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, 1st Class Honours.
Member of Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI).
2023- 2025 Counsellor within NHS Counselling Services.
