About me and my therapy practice

How Counselling Might Help

Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether through fear of what we cannot reach, burnout, unexpected changes or a sense of being stuck that we can't quite put a finger on. You might notice patterns that keep repeating, emotions that feel too big or out of reach, or a quiet longing for things to feel different.

Counselling offers a safe, confidential space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. Through gentle exploration, therapy can help you:

Make sense of your thoughts and emotions

Develop greater self-understanding and compassion

Strengthen your confidence and sense of self

Improve relationships and communication

Find ways to manage anxiety, frustration, or overwhelm

Reconnect with what feels meaningful and authentic to you

You don’t need to know exactly where to start. We can find that together.

What to Expect With Me

Beginning therapy can feel uncertain, so I aim to create a calm and supportive space where you can be fully yourself. I bring warmth, honesty, and curiosity to our sessions, and I’ll always move at your pace.

Together, we’ll explore not only the challenges you’re facing but also your strengths, values, and hopes for the future. My intention is that you feel genuinely seen, accepted, and supported as you grow at your own pace and in your own time.

I am a Íø±¬ÃÅ-registered Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist, meaning that I work with your individual needs, tailoring different approaches.

I aim to offer a safe space for all, with a particular understanding of neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed.

Practice description

About Me

My approach is humanistic & integrative, which means I bring together different ways of working to suit your individual needs, on what you need support with.

Together, we will explore not only the difficulties you may be facing, but also your strengths, values and hopes for the future, so that you feel supported as you grow and make changes in your own way and at your own pace.

I believe that therapy should feel like a safe and supportive place where you can be fully yourself.

I am an open, intuitive, and creative person. One of my greatest passions is understanding the human experience.

I also have lived experience as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent therapist, and my practice is an inclusive space.

I aim to offer a safe space for all, with a particular understanding of neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed.

My therapy room is in West Bridgford, Nottingham, and is easy to reach from Nottingham, Derby, and Leicestershire. I am not currently able to provide a wheelchair accessible space, with the room being on the second floor and no lift in the building.

The room is private, calm, and quiet. With natural and soft lighting, comfortable seating, and small creative touches.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute consultation in person and online, to answer any questions you might have about therapy itself and working with me.

Sessions from then on are charged at the full £50 and in the first session. In the first session, we will explore what has prompted you to seek therapy and some of your background. We will also explore confidentiality and the therapeutic contract or agreement between us.

Engaging in therapy and beginning can feel tough, so it is important that I know how you might be supported in therapy and outside of therapy. This might be from your important people, environment and activities you enjoy. This also might be an area you want to explore and develop, and that is okay!

To help you get what you need out of a first session, it might be useful to spend some time thinking about:

• What has brought you to therapy and why now?

• What do you hope to get from therapy, and what can you contribute to that?

• What experiences have you had from any previous therapy, and what might you need from me as a therapist?
