About me and my therapy practice

I provide a warm, creative, and permissive space where you can explore personal issues and emotions at your own pace. I believe the body holds our experiences, and that healing comes through developing mindfulness, presence, and embodiment.

In a relational way, we can look at how family history, personality, trauma, and wider social forces shape your current experience. This process can increase awareness, acceptance, and the capacity for change, whether we work together short or long term.

I have experience supporting clients suffering from depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidality, offering a safe and consistent environment as part of a recovery process.

I also have a particular interest in working with gender, sexuality, identity, and social issues, including with LGBTQ+, BAME, immigrant, and religious minority communities, as well as those interested in exploring intra- and inter-racial dynamics.

Practice description

My style is person-centred (this is your space, and I will follow where you lead) with a focus on spontaneous Gestalt techniques, such as breathing, movement, meditation, and other experiments designed to deepen awareness. I also integrate Attachment Theory and Transactional Analysis to explore patterns of relating and the impact of family and society on your potential.

For those wanting to explore trauma or long-standing patterns, long-term work (12+ months) can be transformative, building capacity for self-acceptance and change. For shorter-term work, I draw on my background in Hatha Yoga and basic DBT training to share practical skills for self-regulation.

I view therapy as personal training for the mind-body system. Just as we invest in physical fitness, counselling can strengthen emotional flexibility, resilience, and self-support, with the aim of developing your ability to be your own healer.

My first session

During (or before) our first meeting, I will ask you to fill out two short risk assessment forms. We will explore how you would like to spend our time together and agree to a therapeutic contract.

I offer in-room counselling in Central London (EC1) and Islington. I am specialised in providing OPT (online and phone therapy). I offer flexible hours and an evening practice, and my fees vary from £60 to £90 (limited concessions available for low-income communities).

Please email, text or WhatsApp with any questions and requests.
