About me and my therapy practice
I’m an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Therapist and EMDR Practitioner with experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most challenging crossroads. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, bereavement, low self-confidence, identity concerns, difficult family or relationship dynamics, prenatal support, loss and grief (including the ending of significant relationships), as well as anger, frustration, procrastination, and self-sabotaging behaviours. Alongside this, I often help clients develop healthier and more productive daily routines.
In my private practice, I work both online and face to face. I offer a safe, confidential, and inclusive space, a place free from judgment, where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
At the heart of my practice is an atmosphere of safety, warmth, empathy, and acceptance. I believe that feeling truly heard and understood is an essential part of the healing process. My aim is to accompany you in exploring your experiences, deepening self-awareness, and supporting your journey toward growth and change.
My background includes working within the NHS and the charity sector, where I’ve helped people from diverse backgrounds navigate a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Before training as a psychotherapist, my professional background was in psychology and mental health research, which continues to inform my therapeutic understanding and approach.

Practice description
Each person’s journey in therapy is unique. There’s no fixed formula, our work together is guided by what you bring, what feels meaningful, and what helps you move forward.
In our sessions, we may explore early attachment patterns, behaviours, and life scripts that can reveal long-standing ways of coping which, although once protective, may no longer serve you today. I support clients in reframing unhelpful thinking patterns, regulating emotions, and developing healthier ways of relating both to themselves and to others.
We also pay attention to the connection between mind and body, recognising that emotional stress and trauma often express themselves physically. By becoming more aware of these patterns, we can begin to understand and release them, creating space for greater balance and wellbeing.
I draw from a range of approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Person-Centred Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). During EMDR sessions, I gently guide clients through the process of working with difficult or traumatic memories, helping the mind and body to release what feels stuck and find a greater sense of calm and resolution. I tailor the work to your individual needs, drawing on whatever feels most supportive and effective in the moment.
My role is to listen deeply, understand the challenges you face, and use my knowledge and experience to get to the heart of what’s keeping you stuck. From there, we can explore new perspectives and possibilities that support growth, healing, and lasting change.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation so we can chat to see if we fit together.
Then our first session will be an assessment/introduction session where we can talk about what brings you to counselling and what you'd like to work on going forward.
I offer weekly sessions at an agreed time (with GDPR compliance in accordance with Íø±¬ÃÅ for confidentiality). Sessions are 50 minutes and EMDR sessions 90 minutes and I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Payment is in cash or bank transfer either before the session or end of each session.
