About me and my therapy practice
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues or difficult transitions in life, we can work together to uncover your sense of self and choose a way forward. My approach is warm and empathetic, rooted in undivided attention to you and your unique story.
I've volunteered in local and national mental health and counselling services for several years, working across age ranges and with life issues as diverse as the people I've met along the way.
You can have counselling with me in person, outdoors (walk and talk therapy), from central Winchester, or online - whatever works best for you and your needs.
I adhere to the Íø±¬ÃÅ Ethical Framework.
Practice description
My practice is based in central Winchester for in-person and online work. I'm passionate about the healing power of connectedness to nature and offer outdoor counselling just outside Winchester (walk and talk therapy).
I understand that taking the first step into (or back into) counselling is daunting. I offer a flexible approach that focuses on supporting you, as an open and non-judgemental humanistic counsellor.
Humanistic counselling stems from the belief that we all have a good seed of growth within, which naturally thrives if only given the right conditions.
I'm also grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), an approach that constantly develops the way we understand and heal our relationships and communication with ourselves, with others, and with nature.
I'm dedicated to providing therapy services in a safe and confidential space.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Helen, a warm and down-to-earth counsellor trained in Humanistic therapy and TA (transactional analysis).
Born and bred in Burton, now living down south, I offer a safe, supportive space for you to explore whatever’s on your mind - online via video call.
My private practice is flexible and tailored to you. I offer both open-ended, in-depth therapy and shorter-term support, depending on what feels right.
At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person’s unique story. Over the years, I’ve supported people of all ages through a wide range of life experiences, both in local and national services.
Humanistic counselling is based on the belief that we all have the capacity to grow and heal when we’re truly heard and supported. Transactional Analysis (TA) helps us better understand our relationships — with ourselves, others, and the world around us.
I work in line with the Íø±¬ÃÅ Ethical Framework, ensuring care, respect, and professionalism in all I do.
Practice description
In online counselling, I offer a calm and welcoming space to talk.
I know that starting counselling, or coming back to it, can feel like a big step. My approach is gentle, supportive, and focused on what feels right for you.
I’m here to offer a safe, confidential space where you can explore whatever’s going on — whether it’s anxiety, low mood, relationship struggles, or life changes. Together, we can work towards understanding what’s happening for you, reconnecting with your sense of self, and finding a way forward.

In your first full session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll offer a warm welcome, go over how we’ll work together, and talk about what you’re hoping for from counselling.
