About me and my therapy practice
My roots are in Person-Centred therapy, I place great importance on creating a safe, empathetic relationship where you feel truly heard. Alongside this, I draw on elements of Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), attachment theory and inner child work, tailoring each session to suit what feels most relevant and useful for you. This integrative approach allows us to work with both present concerns and deeper patterns, giving space for reflection, growth and lasting change.
I have experience working with clients of all ages, in educational settings, within the NHS and in private organisations, adapting to each unique client, working collaboratively to find what feels most helpful, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to support growth and wellbeing.
Practice description
I am passionate about offering a space where clients can come and feel safe to unpack and explore any issues that they are facing, where we can collaboratively begin to understand them more deeply, gain greater awareness and find ways of moving forward and facilitate change.
I want you to feel heard, understood and valued. An opportunity to feel empowered and re connect with your ability to tackle life's challenges. Whether you're drawn to creative approaches or prefer traditional talking therapy, we'll work together to find what suits you best.
My first session
Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, but it's also an act of courage. I offer a twenty minute free phone consultation to help you get a sense of whether counselling feels right for you, and whether we may be a good fit to work together. No pressure!
The next step is booking in a session - either online or in person. During this session, we'll go through a counselling agreement and discuss how we'll work together going forward. You lead the sessions, which means we go at your pace.
What you can expect from me: a calm, steady presence offering listening, trust and understanding without judgement.
