About me and my therapy practice

Hello and a warm welcome, my name is Emma. I'm likely not the only profile you've looked at during your search, so well done for persevering, I hope whether it ends up being with me or another counsellor you find the support you need.

I appreciate how hard it can be to trawl through endless profiles, trying to decide who might understand and fit well with you, from a picture and a few lines of text. In my experience looking at the counsellors website can give you a good idea about the person, and an introductory call helps get a feel for the person from their tone of voice and manner. So when you feel ready please do get in touch and let's see if we're a good fit for each other. It's a big step, but you've made it this far :)

Practice description

Whether you prefer telephone, online or face-to-face counselling, or simply don't know what format you'd prefer your sessions to be in, I'm adaptable.

If you prefer to be outside and moving how about walk & talk, or if you struggle to be anywhere but your home and prefer face-to-face we can discuss that option.

Let's not let accessibility be a barrier for you getting the support your looking for. We all have busy lives, fitting counselling sessions in can be hard, so I hope my flexibility helps you prioritise some time for you.

I offer a free introductory call to give us the opportunity to have an initial chat with no obligation. If we decide to book a session from there, you can expect the sessions to be confidential and 60minutes long.

There is no obligation to have a certain number of sessions, our work together will be dependent on your needs and therapeutic journey.

My first session

For our first session I offer a 25% reduction, £33 instead of £45.

I do this for two reasons, firstly it can be daunting to meet a counsellor for the first time, and I hope this helps you feel up to taking that initial step and see how you get on. Secondly at the beginning of our first session we'll go through the contract together, and any questions you may have since our introductory call. The rest of the hour is open for you, you may wish to discuss what brought you to counselling, or what's going on for you currently, or some background, it's what you feel up to sharing at the time.

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Adoption, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Trauma, Vegan allied, Women's issues

A little bit about me, I'm from Cardiff originally and lived in various places across Wales, until I moved to Cornwall 4 years ago to support my Nan. I want to continue supporting people in Wales, even if that can only be remotely for now, I hope you'll still reach out.

I appreciate how hard it can be to trawl through endless profiles, trying to decide who might understand and fit well with you, from a picture and a few lines of text.
