About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Kat and I’m a Íø±¬ÃÅ registered person-centred therapist.

Whether you are new to therapy or returning after a break, it can be difficult to reach out and find a person you feel comfortable and safe to speak too. This is especially hard when we want to explore honestly about how we think, feel and what we believe.

I hope to provide a welcoming, warm and safe space for you to feel you can really be heard, human-to-human. I hope to give you real response, real empathy and real interactions that don’t feel false, robotic or clinical. I’m here to really listen and help navigate feelings, thoughts, behaviour, beliefs and your processes without judgements or expectations.

Practice description

I can help with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, neurodiversity, menopause, chronic health issues, loss, LGBTQIA+, self-esteem, and more. I am a trauma-informed therapist with a background volunteering for rape crisis, and have worked with survivors of sexual violence, abuse, rape and childhood sexual abuse.

Think of it like being lost in a forest with no compass, map or clear path. My role as a therapist isn’t to tell you where to go or what to do, but to walk alongside you and point out what I can see, what landmarks are visible, where you’ve come from, and where you could walk and how you feel about the forest around you and the paths ahead. It’s up to you to choose the paths you’d like to take, once the weeds are cleared away, and I will walk alongside you, so aren’t alone.

I work with the person-centred modality and I have a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and regularly undertake CPD to improve and inform my practice.

My sessions are 50 minutes. I can provide face-to-face sessions in Milton Keynes or Telephone or Online video sessions.

My first session

I provide a free 30-minute telephone consultation session so you can decide if you would like to work with me. In this session we can assess your needs, answer any questions and ensure I am suitable to provide you with the right service. We will then book in for our first session if you wish to go ahead.

Before out first session I will send you a copy of my contract, my privacy policy and an assessment questionnaire.

During our first paid session, I will go into detail on how therapy works, what you can expect from me and really give you the space to tell me what you are looking for and answer any questions you may have.

My sessions are priced as below:

Face-to-Face Session (Central Milton Keynes) - £50.00

Online Session (UK Only) - £40.00

I do offer a concessionary rate for individuals on UC/PIP or NHS/Blue Light Badge holders. Please enquire if you wish for a concessionary rate as these may not be available due to demand.
