About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm a qualified Person-Centred Therapist offering a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space for both adults and children to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that every person has the inner resources to grow, heal, and find their own answers — given the right support. My role is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, understanding, and acceptance, while you explore whatever is going on in your life.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, relationship or family difficulties, and school-related concerns for children and young people. I work at your pace and tailor sessions to your individual needs.
When working with children and young people, I provide a nurturing and creative environment where they can express themselves through play, art, and talking — depending on what feels most comfortable for them.
My aim is to build a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship, where you or your child feel truly heard and valued.
Practice description
In our sessions, you can expect:
A respectful, non-judgemental space – You will be met with empathy, acceptance, and understanding, wherever you are in your journey.
A collaborative relationship – We work together at your pace. You’re in control of what you bring, and I’ll support you in exploring whatever feels important to you.
Genuine presence and active listening – I’ll listen carefully, without trying to fix or advise, but to really understand your world from your perspective.
Consistency and reliability – Sessions will be regular and focused on creating a stable and secure therapeutic relationship.
Age-appropriate support for children and young people – I offer creative, play-based, and emotionally attuned work to help children express and explore their feelings in ways that feels natural and safe.
Therapy is a space where all parts of you are welcome – even the parts that feel difficult to share.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and get a sense of whether we feel comfortable working together.
You can expect:
A warm and welcoming space where you or your child can begin to feel at ease.
A chance to talk about what’s brought you to therapy, and what you hope to get from it — there’s no pressure to go into anything too deeply unless you feel ready.
Information about how I work, what Person-Centred Therapy involves, and how sessions are structured.
A discussion around confidentiality, safeguarding (especially when working with children), and practicalities like session frequency, fees, and cancellation policy.
An opportunity to ask questions — whether you're curious about the therapy process, what to expect going forward, or anything else.
Most importantly, it’s a space for you to decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit. There is no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right for you.
If the session is for a child or young person, I may also arrange time to speak with a parent or caregiver as part of the process, depending on the child’s age and needs.
The first session will be 30 mins long and free of charge.
