About me and my therapy practice
Navigating your way through life can be challenging. It can be fast paced and difficult situations can be hard to understand and deal with.
When we are faced with these hurdles our emotions can become confusing and it's hard to make sense of how we are feeling and how we can move forward.
I am here to help.
I can offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore and process thoughts and feelings, at a pace that works for you. I will support you with compassion, care and understanding on your journey, ensuring you are truly heard.
Whether it be a current problem, a difficult relationship, something historical or maybe you just don't feel yourself, we can work through it together. We will focus on what is important to you.
I am dedicated to supporting and empowering my clients, encouraging growth and resilience.
Practice description
I am an Integrative therapist, meaning I draw upon different modalities to tailor each session to best support you. I recognise every client is unique and the experience of therapy should reflect this. I may include CBT or a Psychodynamic Approach in our sessions or we might look at Attachment styles, goal setting or a more Solution focused approach might be more suitable. Your needs will be considered through out and we will work together.
A person centred approach is at my core and our relationship will provide the foundation for our work together. I believe a strong relationship based on trust and respect will support the process of therapeutic change.
I have experience working with individuals aged 16+ all with different reasons for turning to therapy.
Depending on your needs I can offer both long and short term therapy, online or by telephone.
My first session
I understand starting therapy can be daunting. You might be hesitant to open up or maybe you are questioning whether therapy is right for you at all. Whatever your concerns we can talk about them.
Our first session together will be a chance for us to speak more about your reasons for coming to therapy and what goals you have from our work together.
We will talk about the contract between us, confidentiality, the boundaries we have in place and I can answer any questions you might have.
Let me reassure you, there are no expectations and the pace at which we work will be set by you.
