About me and my therapy practice
Many people reach a point where they realise something has to change. The same patterns keep showing up — anxiety that won’t quieten, relationships that repeat the same pain, or a sense of emptiness that’s hard to name. When this happens, it can feel confusing, isolating, and exhausting. Therapy offers a space to pause and make sense of what’s happening, rather than continuing to cope alone.
I’m a person-centred therapist (MÍø±¬ÃÅ registered) based in Coventry, offering therapy for adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and low self-worth. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. I draw on psychoeducation to help you understand how early experiences, stress, and nervous-system responses shape the way you think, feel, and relate — and how you can begin to restore balance and control.
Clients often describe my way of working as calm, insightful, and deeply grounding. I aim to help you reconnect with your own clarity and strength, so that change feels real and lasting rather than temporary. Together, we focus on integration — understanding your story, reclaiming your voice, and rebuilding self-trust.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick and am a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ. I offer online and in-person sessions from Coventry, with flexible times available.
If you’re ready to begin therapy or simply want to explore whether we’d be a good fit, please reach out to arrange an initial session or brief consultation.
Practice description
In my practice, I recognise that every story is shaped by culture, identity, and lived experience. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds and identities, including those from LGBTQ+ and Black and minority ethnic communities, as well as individuals who have experienced displacement, discrimination, or cultural disconnection. My approach is culturally competent and trauma-informed, offering a therapeutic space that honours individuality and difference while supporting integration and belonging.
I also work with the psychological impact of minority stress, war, torture, trafficking, and the transition challenges faced by veterans and those affected by conflict. This work is approached with sensitivity, respect, and depth, providing a steady and contained space to process complex trauma and rebuild a sense of safety and meaning.
Alongside trauma recovery, I support clients who seek personal growth, self-understanding, and self-actualisation. Therapy can be a space not only to heal but to evolve — to reconnect with purpose, authenticity, and the deeper aspects of self that drive fulfilment.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that may have left you feeling anxious, disconnected, or stuck. I integrate gentle psychoeducation, mindfulness, and co-regulation to help you understand how trauma and stress affect the body and mind. My work is steady, reflective, and rooted in genuine connection — helping you feel grounded, clear, and empowered to live with greater authenticity and peace.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to meet and see how it feels to work together. I’ll guide you through a short contracting process, where we agree on practical details such as confidentiality, session structure, and what you can expect from me as your counsellor.
We’ll also complete a brief assessment to explore any significant experiences or factors that might be influencing how you’re feeling right now. This helps me understand your story and ensures our sessions are shaped around what matters most to you.
There’s space for you to ask questions and talk openly about what brings you to therapy. If you already have a clear goal or would like to work towards a specific plan, we can discuss that together so your sessions feel purposeful and tailored to your needs.
