About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, working from my own private premises in a calm, confidential setting. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel heard and understood.
My approach to counselling is both person-centred and integrative, which means I place you, the client, at the heart of the process, while also drawing on a range of therapeutic theories and techniques to best suit your individual needs. I believe that no one size fits all, and I tailor our work together to what feels most helpful and meaningful for you.
I work with adults, including professionals and neurodivergent clients, and have a particular interest in supporting those navigating the pressures of work, life, and relationships. With a background in the corporate world, I bring many years of experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting people through times of change and challenge. I understand first-hand the impact that stress, burnout, and imbalance can have on our wellbeing.
I’m especially skilled in helping clients manage anxiety, stress, grief, and loss, and I welcome you to reach out if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of someone to talk to.
Practice description
In my private practice, I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can bring whatever feels most important for you. I work with adults who may be experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, life transitions or simply a sense of feeling stuck. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change when given the right environment to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic models to best suit your needs. This may include person-centred therapy, psychodynamic approaches, CBT techniques and creative methods. I pay close attention to the unique story you bring, and together we can explore both present concerns and past experiences that may be influencing how you feel today.
The counselling relationship is central to the work we do. I aim to build a relationship based on trust, openness and respect, so you feel truly heard and understood without judgement. Through this, you can begin to develop greater self-awareness, discover new perspectives, and find more helpful ways of coping.
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, though this can be flexible depending on your needs. We can work short-term with a specific focus, or longer-term if you would like to explore issues in more depth. I am committed to working ethically, sensitively and at your pace, respecting your autonomy throughout the process.
Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, but it is also an important act of self-care. If you choose to work with me, you can expect a warm, compassionate and professional space where you will not be alone in navigating what you are facing.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to talk about what has brought you to counselling. We will explore what you would like to gain from therapy, and I will explain how I work so you can get a feel for whether I am the right counsellor for you. This session can be a space to ask questions, share any concerns, and begin to decide together how we might move forward. What I can help with
