About me and my therapy practice
It’s complex, difficult stuff that’s brought you here and here is where you can be heard. I will listen; I will not judge. The hour with me is your hour. During our time together I will welcome whatever you bring and help you to find meaning in those complexities.
My therapeutic approach is based on offering a space to build a secure base from which to change and grow. You may have been holding onto things for a long time – perhaps you don’t have words for them; perhaps it’s trapped inside the body. Working at your pace, you can begin to tell your story – maybe stuff that has always felt too scary to let out. Our collaboration may give you some safety to make a start.
Healing and growth comes from connection and understanding – the sharing of ideas and feelings – the exploration of the unknown; the relationship between one human and another. We will connect on an authentic level where you will feel met, recognised and understood.
Practice description
I hold training and experience in integrative therapy. This means I work with individuals from a humanistic viewpoint, with an understanding that you are the best person to determine the change you seek. My work is informed by existential sensibilities and somatic awareness – that is, the choices we make and the meaning we make of our choices; we might consider how what has happened, may be lodged in the body.
