About me and my therapy practice

Practice description
I offer weekly one-hour sessions which cost £50. I currently have availability for online sessions only.
While my practice is Manchester based, I am happy to work online with anyone from across the country. I offer sessions via Zoom, so you can access counselling from the comfort of your own home. Research suggests that this method of therapy is as good as face-to-face counselling and comes with the benefits of accessibility, flexibility and ease.
Person-centred counselling provides you with a confidential and empathetic place to seek out the answers and solutions to what you are facing. I may at times help you to establish some strategies for coping or managing symptoms, provide information or offer signposting.
Having worked with children, young people and their families for almost twenty years, I understand the challenges, stresses and strains that teachers and their families face. I offer reduced rates for those in the teaching profession. Please mention that you are a teacher in your initial contact with me if you wish to take advantage of this reduced rate.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute discussion for you to decide if I’m the right person to work with you – I believe we need to be a good match to work therapeutically together. We will take some time to think about what it is you might like to achieve in our time working together and I’ll answer any questions you might have about counselling.
Assessment session: If you do decide to go ahead, our first full one-hour session together will be a chance for me to better establish what it is that you’d like to explore and to begin to get to know you better.
