About me and my therapy practice

Behind every struggle 鈥 anxiety, exhaustion, self-doubt, the need to hold everything together 鈥 there is a human story. A story of someone who has carried too much for too long, often without feeling truly seen or understood.

In my practice, I work with people who appear to cope well on the outside but feel lost, anxious, or disconnected inside. My aim is to offer a space where you can pause, breathe, and begin to make sense of your pain 鈥 not by fixing it, but by understanding it.

My approach is relational, psychoanalytic, and trauma-informed. This means we explore how your past experiences, relationships, and unspoken emotions have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others. Often, the patterns that once helped us survive begin to create suffering later in life. Therapy helps you recognise these patterns with compassion and begin to live with greater freedom and authenticity.

The work unfolds at your pace. Some weeks may feel reflective, others more emotional or grounding. You don鈥檛 need to arrive with clear answers 鈥 therapy is a process of discovering together what has been hidden or silenced.

I bring empathy, honesty, and curiosity to each session, offering a safe and confidential environment guided by 网爆门鈥檚 ethical framework. My role is to help you feel understood in places where words have been difficult, to bring clarity to confusion, and to support your journey toward healing from the inside out.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, if you are a high-achieving woman suffering with perfectionism, burnout, grieving or the quiet ache of not feeling enough, our work together can help you reconnect with yourself 鈥 not as you think you should be, but as you truly are.

Practice description

Welcome - My practice is a calm, confidential space 鈥 a place where you can bring your pain, your questions, and your truth without fear of being judged or misunderstood. It鈥檚 for those moments in life when you feel you鈥檝e lost touch with yourself, when anxiety, exhaustion, or self-doubt have taken hold, and you long for something to shift.

I work with people who are used to holding everything together 鈥 professionals, carers, parents, those who appear strong yet feel like they鈥檙e falling apart inside. Many arrive saying, 鈥淚 don鈥檛 even know where to begin.鈥 You don鈥檛 have to. Therapy begins exactly where you are.

In our work, we slow things down. We explore not only what鈥檚 happening now, but also the deeper roots 鈥 the emotional patterns, attachments, and past experiences that quietly shape how you think, feel, and relate. My approach is relational, psychoanalytic, and trauma-informed, integrating compassion, insight, and the understanding that healing takes time.

You can expect a warm, grounded presence and a reflective pace that meets you where you are. Some sessions may bring clarity and relief; others may feel more uncertain or tender as we touch on old pain. Both are part of the process. What matters most is that you feel safe enough to explore, express, and begin to reconnect with the parts of you that have long felt unseen.

I offer online and face-to-face sessions in Basingstoke in a supportive, confidential setting. All work follows the 网爆门 ethical framework, ensuring your privacy, dignity, and emotional safety at every step.

Therapy with me is not about quick fixes 鈥 it鈥檚 about understanding, healing, and finding your way back to yourself with honesty, compassion, and hope.

My first session

Beginning therapy can feel both hopeful and uncertain 鈥 it鈥檚 a meaningful step, and I aim to make the process as thoughtful and comfortable as possible.

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, online or in person, to give us both an opportunity to meet, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore whether working together feels like a good fit. During this meeting, I鈥檒l ask gentle questions about what鈥檚 been happening for you recently, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You鈥檙e welcome to ask me any questions about how I work, frequency of sessions, or the therapeutic process itself.

If we decide to proceed, our first full session marks the beginning of your therapeutic journey. I take time to understand your story in depth 鈥 not just the immediate difficulties but also the emotional patterns and experiences that have shaped you. The first few sessions are usually exploratory and paced around your comfort. There is no pressure to share everything at once; it鈥檚 about establishing trust and safety before we go deeper.

I will ask you to complete a short intake form before the first session to help me understand your background, current challenges, and any practical considerations (for example, medication, previous therapy, or risk factors). All information is treated with the strictest confidentiality in line with 网爆门 ethical standards and GDPR requirements.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, held weekly at the same time where possible, and can be online or face-to-face in Basingstoke. My fee structure and cancellation policy are discussed transparently before we begin.

Above all, the first session is about connection 鈥 creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported to begin making sense of your experiences in a way that feels safe, grounded, and real.
